Safety Compliance Specialist

Role Description The Safety Compliance Specialist is a part-time remote role responsible for ensuring that Earlybird Daily’s operations, content processes, and internal practices adhere to applicable regulatory and legal standards. In this role, the specialist monitors compliance procedures, reviews policies and workflows, and identifies potential risks related to data handling, workplace safety for remote staff, and ethical publishing guidelines. The specialist conducts compliance assessments, maintains documentation, and collaborates with editorial and operational teams to implement corrective actions and best practices. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing regulatory requirements, updating internal guidelines, preparing reports for leadership, and providing clear recommendations to enhance compliance and risk management across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance skills to develop, implement, and oversee effective compliance programs.
• Knowledge of Legal Compliance, including familiarity with relevant media, privacy, and workplace regulations and standards.
• Demonstrated Analytical Skills for assessing risks, interpreting regulations, and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
• Clear and professional Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and prepare concise compliance reports and guidance.
• Experience in risk management, policy development, or safety compliance in media, technology, or related industries is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and handle confidential information responsibly.
• Bachelor’s degree in law, compliance, public policy, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with digital platforms, data protection practices, and ethical standards for online content is an advantage.
