Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $100,000.00 Annually

For more than 45 years, CXtec has helped organizations maximize the value of their IT investments. As North America’s largest secondary market network hardware provider, we deliver innovative, cost-effective IT solutions that help businesses extend the life of their technology. Today, we continue to provide creative IT lifecycle management solutions to organizations of all sizes around the world.

The Opportunity

CXtec is looking for motivated, results-driven Sales Account Executives to drive new business, grow existing customer relationships, and deliver technology solutions that help customers achieve their business goals.

In this role, you will own the sales cycle from prospecting and opportunity development through negotiation, closing, and account growth. You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their technology needs and connecting them with the right combination of products and services from CXtec's broad portfolio.

We welcome sales professionals with experience across the technology channel, including primary-market value-added resellers (VARs), distributors, manufacturers, and secondary-market or refurbished technology providers. Whether your background is in networking, voice, data center, security, cabling, or related IT services, we're interested in the expertise and customer relationships you can bring to our team.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, growth-oriented organization where initiative, relationship-building, and results are rewarded.

The annual base salary range for this position is: $65,000–$100,000, plus uncapped commission, offering significant earning potential. Senior candidates with exceptional relevant experience, particularly those bringing a substantial transferable book of business, may be considered for higher base compensation.

The actual salary offered will vary based on applicant’s relevant skills, education, experience, certifications and geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.

Location: Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, or Albany, NY; Norcross, GA; or Remote.

Additional opportunities may be available depending on territory and business needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive new business: Identify, prospect, develop, and close new customer opportunities within your assigned territory or account base.
  • Grow existing accounts: Build long-term relationships with customers, expand product and service penetration, and identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Develop customer relationships: Engage key decision-makers and stakeholders to understand business objectives, technology requirements, and purchasing priorities.
  • Deliver technology solutions: Present and position solutions across networking, voice, data center, security, cabling, hardware, and professional services to address customer needs.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: Lead prospecting, discovery, solution development, quoting, proposals, negotiation, and closing.
  • Build a sales pipeline: Develop and execute a territory or account plan, maintain accurate forecasts, and consistently work toward monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and margin goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor: Provide consultative guidance, coordinate internal technical resources, and help customers evaluate solutions that support their business goals.
  • Leverage channel and industry relationships: Build productive relationships with technology partners, manufacturers, distributors, and other industry contacts to uncover opportunities and deliver customer value.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with sales leadership, technical teams, and other internal stakeholders to develop proposals, resolve customer needs, and execute opportunities successfully.
  • Maintain sales discipline: Accurately manage CRM activity, sales reporting, pipeline forecasts, and customer requirements.
  • Represent CXtec: Participate in customer meetings, industry events, and other activities that strengthen relationships and increase brand awareness.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

What you Bring

  • At least 3 years of B2B technology sales experience in a quota-carrying role, with a demonstrated record of achieving sales goals and developing customer relationships.
  • Experience selling IT hardware, networking, voice, data center, security, cabling, and/or related technology services.
  • Experience in one or more relevant sales channels, including primary-market VARs, IT distributors, OEMs, technology service providers, or secondary-market/refurbished IT hardware and services providers.
  • Proven ability to prospect, build a pipeline, develop opportunities, negotiate, and close new business.
  • Strong relationship-building and account management skills, with the ability to identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships.
  • Consultative, solution-based selling skills and the ability to connect technology offerings to customer business needs.
  • Effective communication, presentation, negotiation, and persuasion skills, including the ability to engage business and technical decision-makers.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities.
  • A self-directed, competitive, and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An established, transferable book of business or a strong network of customer relationships within relevant technology markets.
  • Experience selling Cisco, Dell, Juniper, or other enterprise technology solutions.
