Essential Responsibilities & Activities:

As a Sales Account Manager - Growth Sectors at IAV, an individual contributor responsible for driving new business growth, expanding IAV’s presence in targeted industrial and technology markets, and securing engineering services and consulting projects. This role focuses on developing strategic customer relationships, identifying new market opportunities, building a robust sales pipeline, and leading the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract award.

  • Achieve individual sales, order intake, and revenue targets.
  • Identify, develop, and secure new customers and engineering services opportunities across industrial and technology sectors.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive business development activities, including networking, cold calling, referrals, industry events, conferences, and direct customer engagement.
  • Establish new customer relationships and expand into markets where IAV has limited or no existing presence.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including Director, VP, and executives and stakeholders.
  • Lead the complete sales process, including opportunity qualification, proposal development, contract negotiations, and project award.
  • Leverage existing industry relationships while continuously expanding professional networks.
  • Promote IAV's engineering, software-defined vehicle (SDV), digitalization, and technology expertise to industrial applications.
  • Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to develop innovative and competitive customer solutions.
  • Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and forecast data within CRM systems.
  • Represent IAV at customer meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify business opportunities.
  • Travel throughout North America and internationally as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, strategic account management, engineering services sales, or consulting services sales.
  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales and revenue targets.
  • Experience selling engineering services, technology solutions, software, or consulting projects.
  • Proven ability to develop new markets, acquire customers, and grow strategic accounts.
  • Existing industry network within one or more target sectors is highly preferred.
  • Strong business development and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and executive-level communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset and entrepreneurial approach.
  • Self-motivated hunter mentality with the ability to generate opportunities from the ground up.
  • Strong organizational and pipeline management skills.
  • Experience using CRM tools and sales forecasting methodologies.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical, project, and leadership teams.
  • Willingness to travel and represent IAV in a professional and consultative manner.
