About Mending

Mending is a team of healthcare nerds, software engineers, product designers, direct primary care doctors, health technology operators, and more. Our mission is to craft better health by accelerating the future of care.

Today, our products focus on Direct Primary Care (DPC). We build the technology and infrastructure that helps employers, health plans, TPAs, brokers, and DPC practices work together at scale. Our data platform integrates DPC into health plans in ways that lower costs, improve access, and deliver better outcomes for members. In doing so, we bring more patients into DPC practices while preserving what makes the model work.

The role and you

We are hiring a Sales and Field Marketing Associate to help our Enterprise Sales team and co-founders bring in new business.

You will report directly to one of the co-founders, and work closely with our Enterprise Sales team. You will join prospect calls, help prepare proposals, keep our CRM current, and make sure the next steps happen. You will also own our conference strategy, including the calendar and budget, and represent Mending at events across the country.

You want to see how a sales organization works from the inside and learn by working directly with a co-founder. You enjoy starting conversations, asking good questions, and running events. You can write clearly, juggle competing deadlines, and take responsibility for a task without needing someone to check on every step.

This role offers direct exposure to how a growing company builds relationships and wins customers. You should expect approximately 25–40% travel for conferences, events, and customer meetings.

The details of your accountability

You will work directly with the Enterprise Sales team and co-founders to:

  • Help move deals forward. Prepare for sales meetings, join calls, capture customer needs, and coordinate follow-up. Help develop proposals and presentations, and keep open requests moving toward a decision.

  • Keep the sales team organized. Maintain accurate contacts, opportunities, meeting notes, and next steps in our CRM. Make sure customer commitments and important deadlines are visible and followed through.

  • Support outbound prospecting as needed. Research target accounts, help identify the right contacts, and use personalized email and phone outreach to book meetings and create opportunities for the Enterprise Sales team.

  • Own our conference strategy and budget. Build and manage the conference calendar and budget, prioritize where Mending should attend, exhibit, or sponsor, and own execution. Coordinate registrations, deadlines, materials, vendors, and booth logistics so the team arrives prepared.

  • Create opportunities before each event. Research attendees and target accounts, coordinate outreach with the sales team, and schedule meetings with prospective customers and partners.

  • Represent Mending in person. Attend conferences, speak with employers, TPAs, brokers, and other potential partners, explain our model, and identify opportunities for the sales team to pursue.

Experience that excites us

  • Approximately 2–8 years of experience in sales, business development, event marketing, or a role working directly with customers.

  • Clear, thoughtful writing and the confidence to speak with prospective customers and senior business leaders.

  • Strong organization and follow-through, especially when several meetings, deadlines, and events overlap.

  • Experience using a CRM to track relationships and sales activity, or the ability to learn quickly.

  • Comfort taking initiative and adjusting as priorities change in a small company.

  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25–40%.

Healthcare or employee benefits experience is preferred but not required. We care most about your interest in learning how a sales organization operates, working closely with a co-founder, and taking ownership of events.

Salary Range*: $70,000 - $110,000 OTE (base salary + target bonus), plus meaningful equity
*Subject to location and experience

You will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status
