Sales Consultant
NielsenIQNielsenIQ is looking for a Junior Account Development Executive to join our Belgian Sales team supporting FMCG manufacturers.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career sales professional who wants to develop their commercial skills, build strong client relationships, and gain experience in the FMCG and consumer intelligence industry.
Working closely with experienced Account Development colleagues, Customer Success teams, and NIQ experts, you will support and gradually take ownership of a portfolio of existing clients. You will contribute to contract renewals, account development, pipeline management, and the identification of new revenue opportunities.
As your knowledge and experience grow, you will take increasing responsibility for client discussions, commercial proposals, negotiations, and account planning.
Your missions
Support the management and development of relationships with FMCG manufacturer clients.
Contribute to revenue targets by supporting contract renewals and identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts.
Learn about clients’ businesses, markets, challenges, and priorities.
Help translate client needs into relevant NIQ products, services, and insight solutions.
Build relationships with key client contacts and gradually expand your professional network.
Support the development and execution of account plans and Joint Business Plans.
Prepare commercial proposals, client presentations, and renewal documentation.
Participate in client meetings and commercial negotiations alongside experienced colleagues.
Maintain accurate and timely information on opportunities, pipeline activity, and forecasts in the CRM system.
Coordinate with Customer Success, analytical, operational, product, and expert teams to support a high-quality client experience.
Follow up on client questions and help coordinate the resolution or escalation of issues.
Act as a reliable point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
Contribute to commercial initiatives and wider team projects.

Your profile
You are curious, commercially minded, and motivated to build a career in sales and account development. You enjoy connecting with people, understanding their needs, and finding solutions that create value. You are a good listener and communicator who is comfortable asking questions and learning from colleagues, clients, and market experts. You take ownership of your work, follow through on commitments, and pay attention to detail. You enjoy working in a collaborative and energetic environment while developing the confidence to manage your own clients and commercial targets over time.
Up to two years of experience in sales, business development, account management, customer service, FMCG, retail, market research, or another relevant area.
Recent graduates with relevant internships or commercial experience are also encouraged to apply.
A strong interest in sales, client development, FMCG, data, and consumer insights.
The motivation to build client relationships and identify commercial opportunities.
Good communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
The ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work accurately.
Confidence working with data and turning information into clear client messages.
Excellent written and spoken English + French or Dutch.
Knowledge of the Belgian FMCG and retail environment is an advantage.
Experience with CRM systems, market research, consumer intelligence, or NIQ/GfK solutions is a plus but not required.
What we offer
- From 42 400 euros to 47 429,35 euros gross per year , including holiday allowance and the 13th monthly payment. Placement within the range will depend on objective criteria including experience, skills, and internal equity considerations. We are committed to equal pay and pay transparency. Remuneration decisions are made using gender-neutral and objective criteria.
