Position Summary
The Growth Enablement Team (GET) is a robust sales support team with the goals of improving sales experiences, efficiency, and win rates. GET provides support across several key pillars: sales education programming; sales technology, reporting, and analytics; sales prospecting; sales opportunity support (RFPs, orals); and sales asset content and visual design. This remote team consists of US-, Canada- and India-based team members that support all industries and capabilities within Huron.
Huron is seeking an Associate to execute CRM data management and Salesforce administration in support of sales data quality across our internal CRM and analytics ecosystem, with a primary focus on Salesforce, our enterprise data lakehouse, and BI tools. Working within the Data, Analytics & AI pillar and partnering closely with the data governance function, this role keeps opportunity, account, contact, lead, case, and pipeline data clean, consistent, and reporting-ready. The role is hands-on: investigating data quality issues, executing mass updates and remediation safely, and helping bring consistency to standardized reporting. This is an execution and analysis role operating inside a heavily customized, multi-system integrated ecosystem. It does not own system design: changes to validation rules, automation, code, security model, or integrations remain with IT Salesforce Product Support, and all configuration changes follow the standard design review and approval path before implementation.
The position consolidates routine CRM data execution that currently passes between GET Data & Analytics, GET Salesforce Ops/Business Support, and IT Salesforce Product Support, giving that work a dedicated owner. The ideal candidate is a certified Salesforce Administrator with 2-4 years of relevant experience who works on more complex issues following defined parameters and methodologies, requires limited oversight to complete assignments, is genuinely curious about applying AI and automation to manual data work, and is eager to develop data engineering and Databricks capability over time.

Responsibilities

The Associate executes and maintains sales data quality within Salesforce and downstream systems, turning governance standards into clean, trustworthy data in the system. They partner cross-functionally with Growth Enablement, IT Salesforce Product Support, Analytics, and the Data Governance function to investigate and resolve data issues, execute large-scale corrections, and support trusted sales data that enables effective decision-making. Supports the quality, integrity, and ongoing management of sales and CRM data across Salesforce and related systems. Performs data quality analysis, bulk data remediation, and approved Salesforce data administration activities; investigates and resolves data issues; and applies established governance standards to maintain accurate, consistent, and reporting-ready data. Partners with Growth Enablement, IT, Analytics, and Data Governance teams to support trusted sales data and improve data management processes, including opportunities for automation and AI-enabled efficiencies

Key responsibilities include:

  • Mass Data Operations & Remediation: Execute bulk updates, corrections, and remediation across Salesforce objects (Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Activities, Cases) safely and accurately when data issues arise, applying validation, backup, and rollback discipline to protect data integrity. Routine operations run with limited oversight; changes above an agreed risk threshold are reviewed before execution.
  • Data Quality Investigation & Root-Cause Analysis: Investigate data quality problems (completeness, conformity, validity, duplicates, hierarchy integrity, stage aging, activity hygiene), trace where issues originate, identify patterns, and recommend upstream fixes rather than repeated manual cleanup.
  • Salesforce Data-Scoped Configuration & Execution: Execute approved, data-scoped configuration that directly supports data quality, working to IT Salesforce Product Support technical standards and testing in sandbox before production. Representative work includes: field-usage analysis and deactivation of unused or deprecated fields; duplicate and matching rule tuning and record merges; configuration of CRM data quality tooling (e.g., RingLead normalization, segmentation, and enrichment mappings); picklist value maintenance and restricted-picklist hygiene; account hierarchy, ownership, and record-type corrections; and report type, list view, and dashboard inventory cleanup. This role does not design or independently modify validation rules, flows, triggers, Apex, the security model, or anything affecting integrations or managed/shared components; it analyzes, recommends, and executes those changes only after IT design review and approval.
  • AI & Automation of Manual Data Work: Identify recurring manual data tasks that could be automated or AI-assisted, maintain and prioritize a working backlog of those opportunities, prototype approaches using approved tools, and report results with evidence such as effort saved, error rate, and records affected.
  • Reporting Consistency & Governance Support: Help bring order to standardized reporting by maintaining an inventory of reports and dashboards and identifying redundant, conflicting, or ungoverned assets that undermine trust in the numbers; support consistent report and field standards.
  • Data Quality Execution in Partnership with Governance: Operationalize the standards, DQ rules, and stewardship model defined by the Data Governance function - applying policy as executed, maintained data quality in Salesforce and downstream systems.
  • Master & Reference Data Maintenance: Support client/account and contact mastering, de-duplication and matching, survivorship, and account hierarchy maintenance in line with governance-defined rules, including enrichment and normalization rules in CRM data quality tooling.
  • Monitoring & Issue Triage: Assist in profiling and monitoring data quality, running issue triage, and reporting on DQ metrics and remediation progress to the engineering and governance leads.
  • Data Engineering & Pipeline Support (developing): Over time, contribute to data pipeline, integration, and Databricks work alongside the engineering team, building toward a broader data engineering skill set.
  • Documentation & Standards: Produce and maintain clear documentation of data operations, remediation procedures, and standards; contribute to playbooks and quick-reference guides for consistent execution.

Position Requirements

The role requires hands-on Salesforce administration and CRM data management experience, with demonstrated ability to execute data operations and investigate data quality issues in enterprise environments. The ideal candidate is a certified Salesforce Administrator who works effectively within defined methods with limited oversight and collaborates across functions and time zones.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, or related field.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (required): current, active certification with demonstrated hands-on administration experience.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in CRM data management, Salesforce administration, data quality, or data operations, with the ability to work on more complex issues following defined parameters and methodologies and to complete assignments with limited oversight.
  • Demonstrated experience executing mass data updates and bulk operations in Salesforce (e.g., Data Loader, data import/export tools), with careful validation and rollback practices.
  • Data investigation and troubleshooting skills: able to analyze data to identify gaps, diagnose root causes, and recommend or execute resolutions.
  • Solid understanding of the Salesforce data model, records, fields, matching/duplicate rules, reporting structures, and sharing/visibility basics, with the ability to read and interpret existing validation rules, automation, and integration touchpoints well enough to diagnose where a data issue originates and escalate appropriately.
  • Hands-on experience with duplicate management and data quality tooling (e.g., RingLead, LeanData, DemandTools), including normalization, segmentation, matching/merge criteria, and enrichment rules.
  • Demonstrated curiosity about AI: uses AI tools in day-to-day work and can describe something they have automated or simplified as a result.
  • Proficiency with data manipulation (e.g., SQL or spreadsheet-based transformation) and familiarity with data quality concepts (completeness, conformity, deduplication, hierarchy integrity).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; able to convey data issues, status, and risks clearly, translate technical terms for non-technical audiences, and work effectively with US- and Canada-based analytics leads across time zones.
  • Ability to work to another team’s technical standards and receptive to coaching and review from outside the direct reporting line.
  • Work standards and accountability: sets high standards for accuracy and completeness, takes ownership of assignments, and escalates issues appropriately.

Preferred Skills

  • Databricks experience (strongly desired): exposure to the data lakehouse and a willingness to develop data engineering capability; training will be provided.

• Exposure to data pipeline / data engineering concepts and CRM-to-warehouse/BI integration patterns.

  • Familiarity with BI/analytics platforms, especially Salesforce CRM Analytics (CRMA / Analytics Studio) and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience with sales data lifecycles (lead to opportunity to booking), pipeline management, and RevOps metrics.
  • Familiarity with data governance or stewardship practices, DQ scorecards, and business glossary concepts.
  • Exposure to marketing automation data (Pardot), third-party data enrichment providers (e.g., ZoomInfo), and ERP (Workday) integrations affecting sales data.
  • Relevant Salesforce certifications beyond Administrator (e.g., Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder) a plus.
  • Experience with Agile delivery and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) and creating enablement materials such as playbooks and quick-reference guides.
