This isn’t a role for someone who wants an easy ride. We’re partnering with a fast-growing SaaS business in the cybersecurity space that’s coming off its strongest-ever period of commercial momentum, and they’re hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) who wants to be pushed.
You’ll report into the Head of Sales, who has a strong cybersecurity background and has done this at the highest level, so you’ll be learning from the best from day one. Your job is to get in front of C-suite executives at large enterprises: CISOs, CIOs and CTOs who are hard to reach, short on time and hear a lot of pitches. Getting their attention takes sharp research, a polished approach and the confidence to pick up the phone.
If you’ve spent 6 months to 2 years cold calling outside SaaS (recruitment, event sales, media sales or similar) and you’re ready to point that hunger at enterprise tech, or you’ve had 6 months to a year as an SDR/BDR at a high-growth start-up and want a bigger challenge, this is worth a conversation.
What you’ll do:
- Prospect into C-suite and senior security leaders at large enterprises through calls, email and LinkedIn
- Research accounts properly, so every first touch is relevant and earns attention
- Book qualified meetings that turn into real pipeline for the sales team
- Learn the cybersecurity market quickly enough to hold your own with senior buyers
- Work directly with the Head of Sales on messaging, target accounts and what’s landing
- Own your numbers and keep the CRM tight
What you’ll bring:
- Strong Educational or Sporting background
- 6 months to 2 years in a phone-heavy sales role (recruitment, event sales, media sales or similar), or 6 months to 1 year as an SDR/BDR at a high-growth start-up
- You actually like the phone, including the calls most people avoid
- Curiosity: you want to know how big organisations work and what their leaders worry about
- Grit and resilience: rejection doesn’t slow you down, it sharpens you
- A polished, credible manner that holds up in front of senior executives
- Serious ambition to build a career in enterprise SaaS sales
What’s on offer:
- £35,000 to £40,000 base salary (up to £55,000 OTE)
- Hybrid working, with 2 days a week in their London Victoria office
- Direct mentoring from a Head of Sales with deep cybersecurity experience
- A clear progression pathway for strong performers
- The chance to join a scaling cybersecurity business at a key point in its growth
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Wellness benefits
