POSITION SUMMARY
Broadvoice is looking for a Sales Engineer in Madrid to be the technical voice of GoContact, our cloud contact center (CCaaS) platform, for partners and customers across Spain. You'll build and run demos, set up IVR menus, routing and queues that show a prospect what their contact center could look like, and answer the technical questions that move deals forward. You'll work closely with our sales team and channel partners and report to Christian Nieves, Sales Engineering Manager.
The hard part: every demo is rebuilt for a specific partner and prospect, and sometimes the honest answer is "not like that." You'll need the judgment to avoid promising what the product can't do, and the skill to keep the deal moving anyway.
This role is remote, based in or near Madrid, with about 20% travel within Spain to meet partners and customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and deliver tailored GoContact demos for partners and prospects, remotely and in person.
- Run technical discovery: learn how a prospect's contact center works today (channels, volumes, routing, reporting) and what isn't working.
- Configure demo and proof-of-concept environments: IVR flows, skills-based routing, queues, overflow, after-hours handling and reporting.
- Prepare the technical sections of proposals, RFIs and RFPs, with final solution sign-off from your manager.
- Support partner sales reps with product training and fast, accurate technical answers so they can sell with confidence.
- Capture customer requirements and feature requests and pass them to Product with clear context.
- Help move stalled deals forward and hand closed deals cleanly to the implementation team.
QUALIFICATIONS
What you need:
- Hands-on experience in or supporting contact centers, for example at a BPO, a contact center technology vendor, or an in-house customer service operation. You know the metrics (service level, abandonment, handle time) and what drives them.
- Experience configuring a contact center or telephony platform yourself: IVR menus, queues or skills, routing rules and opening hours.
- Confidence presenting and demoing software to customers and explaining technical ideas in plain business terms.
- Professional fluency in Spanish and English, spoken and written.
- Good judgment when a customer asks for something the product can't do: you confirm before you commit and come back with a recommendation.
- Enjoy working side by side with sales reps and partners, and able to travel within Spain about 20% of the time.
Nice to have (we'll teach the rest):
- Previous sales engineer, pre-sales or solutions consultant experience
- Experience with GoContact
- Experience working with channel partners or resellers
- CRM integrations (Salesforce, Zendesk, Dynamics) or APIs
- Portuguese
If you meet most of the must-haves but not every one, we'd still like to hear from you.
