EarthDaily’s signature Earth Observation mission, the EarthDaily Constellation (EDC), is currently under construction. EDC will be the most powerful global change detection and change monitoring system ever developed, capable of generating unprecedented predictive analytics and insights. It will combine with the EarthPipeline data processing system to provide unprecedented, scientific-grade data of the world every day, positioning EarthDaily to meet the growing needs of diverse industries.

OUR TEAM
Our global, enterprise-wide team represents a variety of business lines and is made up of business development, sales, marketing and support professionals, data scientists, software engineers, project managers and finance, HR, and IT professionals. Our Data team is nimble and collaborative, and in preparation for launching a frontier and disruptive product in EDC, we are currently looking for a Sales Engineer - APAC to join our crew!

This is a remote position based in the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia and New Zealand. All candidates must be eligible to work in their country of residence

PREPARE FOR IMPACT!

The Sales Engineer is a customer-facing technical expert who partners with Account Executives to drive revenue across the Asia- Pacific sales region, including Australia and New Zealand. Translates complex geospatial, remote‑sensing, and data‑analytics capabilities into clear business value, design solution architectures, and guides prospects through validation and discovery of EarthDaily’s product offerings.

This role is critical in accelerating enterprise adoption of earth‑observation monitoring platforms for a variety of use cases including, but not limited to, environmental intelligence, infrastructure monitoring, ESG compliance, and risk management. Reporting to the Senior Sales Director, APAC, this role is a senior pre‑sales technical partner to Account Executives, to shape deals, demonstrate product value, and influence enterprise adoption of the EarthDaily Constellation’s data and analytics solutions across APAC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Pre-Sales Technical Leadership

  • Provide pre‑sales technical leadership supporting lead discovery, requirements analysis, and solution scoping with enterprise prospects across APAC

  • Influence sales strategy — Shape deal strategy with AEs by identifying blockers, mapping customer decision criteria and aligning value to commercial outcomes

  • Partner with Account Executives (AEs) on opportunities and site visits

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure successful product communication and customer engagement

  • Develop a deep technical knowledge of our products on an on-going basis to understand strengths, limitations, value, cost-drivers and understand a customer’s technical requirements to find product fit and offer viable solutions

  • Lead or support responses to EOIs, RFPs and RFIs including appropriate technical response, solution narrative, and architecture diagrams for procurement processes

Product Demonstrations

  • Test new product features and deliver compelling product demos of EarthDaily’s suite of products tailored to customer use cases including relevant geospatial analytics, change‑detection workflows, dashboards, and integrations

  • Work with EDA’s APIs to expand demonstration content

Product Enablement

  • Produce technical content for the product sales and marketing teams

  • Create sales engineering presentations that effectively communicate the value of EDA's products and services to potential customers

  • Enable customers, channel partners, resellers, and system integrators with technology deployment aligned with use

  • Technical solution design — Architect end‑to‑end solutions using EO data pipelines, analytics modules, and platform capabilities

  • Proof‑of‑concept ownership — Plan, execute, and evaluate POCs to validate feasibility, performance, and ROI

Product Roadmap

  • Work with Product Teams to add prospective feature requests based on opportunity size

  • Educate customers by training prospects on EDC concepts, data quality, monitoring methodologies and platform best practices

  • Surface customer insights to Analytics’ Product/Engineering teams to influence roadmap priorities

  • Other duties as assigned

YOUR PAST MISSIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in geomatics, surveying, remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), computer science, mathematics, physics, geography, resource management, or equivalent (Advanced degree is an asset)
  • 5–8+ years in Sales Engineering or Pre‑Sales for GIS and/or geospatial products and analytics tools (additional experience with SaaS-based, enterprise data platforms an asset)
YOUR TOOLKIT
  • Knowledge of earth observation platforms, remote sensing, environmental monitoring, GIS, data science, change detection, geospatial analytics, land-use classification, monitoring workflows, data, and related, value-added products and machine learning an asset

  • Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles with governments, infrastructure operators, insurers, or ESG‑focused industries

  • Basic knowledge of at least one modern programming language (python, java, go, .net) so that you can perform demonstrations with our products and services

  • Ability to create solution architectures, demo complex platforms, and run POCs end‑to‑end.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an understanding and ability to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base (e.g. culturally aware with the ability to overcome introversion)

  • Self-starter and self-learner attitude with the ability to prioritize workloads in order of importance

  • Passionate about teamwork and collaboration and enjoy evangelizing a suite of products internally and externally

  • Feel comfortable working with customers and negotiating meaningful response on the spot

  • Ability to continuously learn new things (from product complexities and intricate use cases to language and industry jargon)

  • Experience conducting research and literature reviews on earth observation data use cases and applications

  • Experience working with geospatial data APIs and performing custom geospatial data modelling and/or statistical analysis and interpretations with support from domain experts

  • Experience with proposal or grant application processes including writing technical proposals

  • Excellent communication skills (English verbal and written), with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and credibility as a confident subject matter expect

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt communication styles to cater to diverse customers, ranging from individuals with a high-level understanding to technical experts deeply versed in the domain
