Sales Executive / Business Development Executive

Role Description The Owner of We work in Iraq will lead the overall vision, strategy, and operations of the platform in a part-time, remote capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing content related to employment laws, job opportunities, and career development, as well as reviewing and approving news and updates relevant to employees in Iraq and the Kurdistan region. The role involves building and nurturing the employee community, engaging with members, and developing partnerships with employers, training providers, and industry stakeholders. The Owner will monitor platform performance, identify areas for improvement, and coordinate with any contributors or volunteers to ensure consistent, high-quality information and support for users. This role also includes managing the brand presence, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and guiding long-term growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in business ownership, entrepreneurship, or leading an online platform or community.
• Strong understanding of employment practices, HR concepts, or labor laws in Iraq and the wider region.
• Ability to plan and execute content and community initiatives, including basic digital communication and social media skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic and/or Kurdish is highly beneficial.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively in a part-time remote role, and make informed strategic decisions.
• Experience in networking, partnership development, or stakeholder engagement with employers, professionals, or NGOs.
• Background in HR, business administration, communications, or a related field is a plus, though equivalent experience is highly valued.
