How you'll make an impact

As Sales Manager, Expense Management you will be responsible for leading a team of Expense Management Account Executives. You will own the achievement of sales goals (opportunity creation, pipeline creation, win rate, and new sales volume) for our modern spend management solution. Working in tandem with the VP of Sales, you will play a key role in hiring your team and training them. This presents a unique sales opportunity to create and nurture a culture of top performers. Yours will be a team of hunters who consistently engage current customers and acquire new customers to create qualified pipelines, maintain sufficient pipeline coverage, and exceed sales quotas.

You will be expected to co-create and execute an overall sales strategy, provide constant coaching, hold regular individual and team meetings, and serve as an advocate for your team and your WEX colleagues. An important facet of the role will be serving as key liaison between your sales team and the products team. The expectation is that you will be involved in the sales process for certain strategic customers.

Ground-up, sales management opportunities like this don’t present themselves every day. Come be a part of something special.

  • Minimum 3-years prior sales management experience
  • 3+ years experience in the payments industry with a focus on B2B payments activation
  • Ability to work and perform independently
  • Must be proficient in SalesForce - creating, tracking and reporting on Leads, Opportunities and Accounts
  • Proficiency in Excel to develop sales analyses, individual Sales Rep development plans and Team Performance Reports.
  • Excellent writing skills to evaluate, coach, and develop individual talent and professionalism
  • Must be comfortable traveling via land/air, though travel is expected to be minimal

  • Success creating new sales teams through hiring excellent candidates
  • Experience bringing new products to market as a sales leader or individual contributor
