About Us
Peak Visibility is the complete visibility company. For over a decade, we ranked businesses on Google; now we help UK businesses get found everywhere buyers actually look, from Google to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode. Our services include SEO, conversion-focused landing pages and GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation), and our products include PeakRank™, our SEO video audit, and PeakMention™, our AI-visibility audit. We're a small team, so you'll see the impact of your work every week.
About the Role
As our Sales & Marketing Assistant, you'll be the first person every new lead speaks to. You'll qualify them, book them into our founder Graham's diary for a sales call, and track every lead from first click to signed client. You'll also be our day-to-day contact with our PPC agency, feeding back on lead quality so our ad spend works harder.
You won't be closing deals or cold calling. The founder handles the sales calls, and every lead you work has already come to us, so no outbound is required. You'll be speaking with UK business owners and managers.
Key Accountabilities
1. Speed to lead: Calling every new inbound lead within 5 minutes during working hours
2. Qualification and booking: Qualifying leads and booking the right ones into Graham's diary, then making sure they show up
3. Pipeline tracking: Keeping every lead and deal stage accurate in HubSpot, from first click to signed client
4. PPC agency coordination: Acting as the agency's day-to-day contact and feeding back on lead quality
5. Reporting: Delivering a short weekly report on leads, booked calls, show rate, cost per booked call and won deals
6. Warm re-engagement: Winning back past proposals and supporting upsells to existing clients
Key Responsibilities
Lead response and call setting (about 60% of the role)
• Call every new inbound lead within 5 minutes during working hours
• Run a follow-up sequence of calls, emails and texts for leads who don't answer
• Qualify leads against our criteria: budget, timeline, decision-maker and fit
• Book qualified leads into the founder's diary and send confirmations and reminders to cut no-shows
• Re-book no-shows and nurture leads who aren't ready yet
CRM and pipeline tracking (about 20%)
• Log every lead in HubSpot with its source, campaign and outcome
• Keep deal stages accurate: new lead, booked, attended, proposal, won or lost
• Produce a short weekly report covering leads, booked calls, show rate, cost per booked call and won deals
PPC agency coordination (about 15%)
• Be the agency's main day-to-day contact
• Send weekly feedback on lead quality, so the agency optimises for booked calls rather than form fills
• Chase reports and actions, and flag campaigns producing poor-quality leads
• Help with landing page copy, offers and ad messaging tests
Warm re-engagement and admin (about 5%)
• Follow up past proposals that didn't close
• Support check-ins with former clients and upsell campaigns to existing clients, such as PeakMention™ for SEO clients
• Prepare call notes and research before each of the founder's sales calls
What Success Looks Like
You'll be measured on booked calls that actually happen, not on activity. Targets marked "tbc" are set once we have a baseline from your first month.
• Speed to lead: under 5 minutes from enquiry to first call attempt, in working hours
• Contact rate: leads spoken to ÷ leads received (target tbc)
• Booking rate: qualified calls booked ÷ leads received (target tbc)
• Show rate: calls attended ÷ calls booked, 75%+
• Booked calls per month: qualified calls attended (target tbc)
• Cost per booked call: marketing spend ÷ calls attended (target adjusted monthly)
• CRM accuracy: 100% of leads logged with source and outcome
Your First 90 Days
Days 1–30: Learn and respond
Learn our services, ideal clients and qualifying questions. Take over all inbound lead follow-up and hit the under-5-minute response time. Get every lead logged correctly in HubSpot and set up the weekly report.
Days 31–60: Book and feed back
Hit agreed targets for booking rate and show rate. Start weekly lead-quality feedback with the PPC agency. Begin following up on past proposals.
Days 61–90: Own the pipeline
Run the weekly pipeline review with Graham. Show which campaigns produce booked calls and which don't, and recommend changes to the agency. Launch warm re-engagement campaigns to former and existing clients.
What We're Looking For
Essential
• At least 1 year in a phone-based role: appointment setting, inside sales, customer service, recruitment or similar
• Confident and warm on the phone, and happy making 40+ calls a day
• Quick off the mark: you treat a new lead as urgent
• Organised and accurate with data, so nothing slips through the cracks
• Fluent spoken and written English, and comfortable speaking with UK business owners
• Coachable: you take feedback and apply it
Desirable
• Experience with HubSpot or another CRM
• Exposure to a marketing agency, or to working with Google Ads / PPC
• An understanding of SEO or digital marketing
• B2B experience, speaking with business owners and managers
Logistics
• R18,000–R22,000 per month basic, plus a bonus for every qualified call that shows. On-target earnings are around R25,000–R30,000 per month, and candidates with HubSpot or PPC experience are at the top of the range
• UK business hours, which means a working day of roughly 10:00–19:00 SAST in UK summer and 11:00–20:00 SAST in UK winter
• Fully remote contractor position, based anywhere in South Africa
• Direct coaching from the founder on sales, SEO and digital marketing
• A clear path to grow into a full sales or marketing role as the team expands
• 20 days paid annual leave
