Up World is a community where marketers gain the confidence, support, and tools they need to smash their careers. We have over 1,100 paying members, an annual green field festival, and an exclusive supper club including CMOs from the UK’s top companies.
About Up World
Up World is a friendly space for ambitious marketers who want to achieve big things and help others do the same.
Up Club provides exclusive access to industry leaders, expert mentorship, and world-class training to sharpen your skills and to stay ahead.
Big Up Club is an invite-only community designed for start-up Marketing Directors, Heads of Marketing, and CMOs to learn, grow, and thrive from the best UK marketing minds. We launched the community last February to a very selective group and have managed new members carefully since then.
The Marketing Accelerator is a 12-week programme meticulously designed for mid-level marketers to grow leadership skills, marketing ability and ultimately to accelerate their careers.
UpFest is the UK’s only greenfield marketing festival - think of it as Glasto for marketers! Each year we invite our members to a farm to share their knowledge. Netflix exciting names?
We are really ambitious, and we want to take our courses even further. We are now looking for a Sales Marketing Manager to take our Up World courses to the next level.
The Role
This is a revenue driver role. Our courses already work, and people love them. Now we need someone to sell them to many more people.
You'll own course revenue and the plan to grow it. You'll build brand awareness, generate leads and turn them into paying customers. You'll also own the commercial side of the product: what we sell, who it's for, how it's priced, and what we launch next.
You'll report to our Head of Up World, who sets the direction for Up World as a whole. Course revenue is yours.
You will
Drive revenue
Own course revenue. It's £100k to date and your job is to double it. Cohorts run at 20 to 25 people and we think 40 is possible.
Work to a revenue target and own it. Know where you are against it, and tell us early if it's slipping and what you're doing about it.
Own pricing, and make the case for changing it.
Sell. Get people from curious to paid, whether that's on a call, through a launch or face to face at our events.
Generate leads and build brand awareness
Own the full funnel: launch campaigns, warm leads, paid, landing pages and follow-up.
Get the courses seen by more of the right people, beyond the Up World community.
Brief our freelancers (design, copy, paid) and hold the quality bar. Write it yourself when that's quicker.
Own the product commercially
Decide what sits before, between and after Brand Manager Boot Camp and The Marketing Accelerator, and what will sell.
Turn new ideas into revenue: an AI course launching in early 2027, short focused courses on CRM, paid ads and social with our sister agency Brand Hackers, and whatever else the data tells you is worth trying.
Use course outcomes as your best sales tool. Track who got promoted and where they went, and put that proof to work.
Own CRM, operations and insights
Run the CRM and the course operations side: enrolment, admin, comms and cohort tracking. The courses themselves are delivered by Lottie and our coaches, but the systems underneath them are yours.
Own the insights. Report on what's selling, what's converting and where we're losing people, and use that to grow enrolments.
Automate anything repetitive. We use Claude, HubSpot, Mailchimp and Zapier. Some of it is elegant and some of it is held together with hope. If you're doing something by hand for the fourth time, that's the flag.
You'll have
A track record of hitting revenue targets. You've owned a number, met or beaten it, and you can tell us exactly how.
A target driven personality. A revenue number gets you going rather than stressing you out.
Comfort with selling. You don't find asking for the sale awkward, whether it's one to one or one to many.
Lead generation experience. You've built a pipeline from scratch, written the launch emails, briefed the ads, watched a funnel not work and fixed it.
CRM and ops skills. You've set up and run a CRM properly, and you've built automations other people now rely on.
Experience with data. You look at what the numbers say and change course, rather than defend a decision you've already made.
A solution-focused approach. When something isn't working, you come back with a fix, not just the problem.
Ambition. You want to build something bigger than the job you're walking into.
An interest in startup marketing and the people doing it. Our customers are marketers, and the product only works if you like them.
Tools we use: Claude Co-work, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Zapier.
