Sales Specialist

Job Title: Sales Specialist Pay: $23 - $27.00/Hour Overview : In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our office sales team and stores in achieving our department’s objectives, including communication to vendors, stores and operations, preparation of product distributions and purchase orders, new item set up and cost/retail system updates. Essential Duties: Item maintenance: setting up new items, updating costs, retail changes, maintaining item details Communicate with operations and stores via daily bulletin, phone and email Communicate with vendors as directed Work with internal teams to support company initiatives Pull and update sales, margin, pricing and inventory reports on a weekly basis for review by director and supervisor Recommend store distributions for approval Recommend price changes for approval Review inventory reports for actions needed and director approval Communicate schematics and display information and changes to stores as needed Partner with IT and Retail Support to adapt department processes to new technology systems Assist with other company initiatives as needed Knowledge/Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be able to create and update formulas in Excel. Education/Experience: College degree preferred; High School degree required 1 year experience in a similar position, preferably in retail, preferred Working Environment: Most work takes place in an office environment, but some required work may take place in non-standard workplaces, including stores on Oahu A flexible schedule is required, including the ability to work weekends and holidays to accommodate the needs of the business. Mental Demands: Must be able to analyze reports, interpret findings, and effectively problem-solve based on data. Must be able to comprehend, remember and implement processes, procedures. Must be able to learn new tasks, adapt to changes, and stay updated with industry trends. Must be able to maintain focus on all tasks. Must be able to read, interpret and respond to reports, emails, or other written materials and create documents. Physical Demands : Frequently sits, performs desk-based computer tasks, and stands and/or walks for long periods in stores. Occasional lifting, and/or carrying, pushing, and/or pulling merchandise that weighs up to 20 pounds. Communication Demands : The position requires talking and listening to employees, supervisors, executives, and outside trade persons/vendors; written communication to employees, supervisors, executives, and outside persons/vendors; receiving and responding to written or verbal requests; reading; writing.
