About the opportunity
This is a new business role. You will hunt down new opportunities, close the opportunity and then hand it over to the Account Manager to manage.
You cover Melbourne’s south east. You are on the road with customers, not behind a desk.
You find businesses in your patch that do not ship with us or who do but a little bit and can grow. You will learn about their business. You'll learn how they trade. You build out our value proposition and then you will pitch to them and close the deal.
Then you onboard them yourself for three months.
The incentive upside here is significant due to the nature of the portfolio and the pipeline of opportunities
You’ll also
- Build a qualified pipeline across your territory of South East Melbourne and down the peninsula.
- Meet your call grid and pipeline requirements every week.
- Sell the full Australia Post and StarTrack range, not just parcels.
- Build relationships up to C level in small and medium businesses.
- Work with Solutions, Pricing, Bids & Tenders, Legal and Operations to close.
- Hand over clean accounts that stay with us.
About you
You are a new business hunter.
You like being out with customers. You ask questions before you pitch & enjoy learning about customers businesses.
You’ll also
- Bring strong new business or acquisition sales experience.
- Have a track record of closing complex solution sales.
- Build C level relationships with clients.
- Be able to learn your local market and how to read territory data.
- Be confident with Excel and cost benefit selling.
- Hold a current driver’s licence.
Desirable, not essential
- A business or commerce degree.
- Logistics, freight or eCommerce experience.
What else is in it for you?
- Real incentive upside tied to the new business you win.
- Flexible and hybrid working arrangements, allowing you to spend more time with customers.
- Opportunities for growth and internal development in a large business.
- Exclusive team member discounts and offers for more cash in your pocket.
