Opportunity Overview

Our client is a UK-based Salesforce managed services provider that acts as an outsourced in-house administrator for non-technical customer teams. They are converting a junior generalist headcount into an architect-level technical hire and are looking for a Solution Architect to design scalable Salesforce solutions and own delivery end-to-end within a small, high-autonomy team.

Role Description

The Solution Architect will translate customer business requirements into scalable, secure Salesforce solutions and provide the technical judgement needed to challenge poor-practice asks and recommend best-practice alternatives. You will lead requirements gathering, design integrations across customer systems, and guide developers through agile delivery. This is a high-autonomy role with no micromanagement, so you must be comfortable owning work end-to-end and communicating directly with non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design - Translate customer business requirements into scalable, secure Salesforce solutions aligned with platform best practices.
• Technical Consultation - Provide feasibility assessments and technical guidance that inform solution design decisions across engagements.
• Integration Strategy - Devise integration approaches connecting Salesforce with existing customer systems and third-party applications.
• Requirements Challenge - Challenge customer asks, push back on over-engineering, and recommend best-practice alternatives with confidence.
• Delivery Guidance - Provide architectural direction to development teams and participate actively in agile delivery cycles.
• Documentation - Maintain accurate CRM records, architecture diagrams, design specifications, and integration plans for ongoing reference.

Minimum Qualifications

• English Fluency - Fluent, excellent written and spoken English is mandatory for this role.
• Salesforce Architect Experience - 5 to 10 years designing Salesforce or CRM solutions at architect level, not admin only.
• Salesforce Certification - Salesforce Administrator certification, or a committed plan to certify within 6 to 12 months of joining.
• Stakeholder Communication - Ability to make technical concepts accessible and secure buy-in from non-technical customer stakeholders.
• Consultative Judgement - Confidence to challenge customer requirements and recommend best-practice alternatives rather than defaulting to order-taking.
• Self-Directed Delivery - Proactive work style; owns projects end-to-end without micromanagement, hand-holding, or waiting on others.
• Security and Compliance - Strong grasp of security protocols, data privacy standards, and relevant compliance requirements.

Bonus Qualifications

• Additional Certifications - Further Salesforce, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics certifications, or willingness to pursue Salesforce AI credentials.
• French Language - French language proficiency to support broader customer engagement across markets.
