Title: Salesforce Technical Architect
Location: Remote
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Salesforce Technical Architect who can own solution design and actively contribute to development. The role combines enterprise-level architecture with practical implementation across Salesforce core and industry capabilities, including Financial Services Cloud, Agentforce, and Data 360. The architect will translate business needs into secure, scalable solutions and lead through design reviews, proof of concepts, development, and delivery guidance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Own end-to-end technical architecture and detailed solution design for complex Salesforce implementations, translating business and functional requirements into scalable, secure designs.
· Remain hands-on: develop and review Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, integrations, and other Salesforce components; troubleshoot defects and performance issues.
· Create Technical Solution Blueprints, High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD), architecture diagrams, data models, integration specifications, and non-functional requirements.
· Lead technical discovery and design workshops with client stakeholders; assess feasibility, estimate complexity, identify dependencies, and explain trade-offs clearly.
· Design integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, event-driven patterns, and middleware/iPaaS platforms; apply appropriate security, resiliency, and error-handling patterns.
· Design data architecture, data migration and data quality approaches, including Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) ingestion, harmonization, identity resolution, and activation patterns where applicable.
· Design and implement Agentforce solutions, including agent use cases, topics/instructions, actions, grounding and knowledge/data access, and integration with Salesforce workflows and enterprise systems.
· Apply Salesforce security and governance best practices, including sharing and access controls, secure coding, least privilege, limits management, and regulatory considerations relevant to insurance.
· Establish engineering standards for source control, CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, release management, and environment strategy; participate in code and design reviews.
· Lead technical problem-solving, proof of concepts, performance optimization, risk management, and production issue resolution while mentoring developers and technical team members.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· 15+ years of Salesforce implementation and architecture experience, with substantial hands-on design and development responsibility.
· 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry (P&C, Life, or Health) and familiarity with relevant insurance processes and regulatory/compliance requirements.
· Strong hands-on proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flow, SOQL, asynchronous processing, and Salesforce platform capabilities and limits.
· Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), Lightning Platform, OmniStudio, Business Rules Engine (BRE), and relevant industry capabilities.
· Demonstrated ability to create end-to-end architecture and detailed technical designs, then validate them through working code, prototypes, and technical reviews.
· Expertise in data modelling, integration architecture, REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, and middleware/iPaaS platforms.
· Practical experience or demonstrable implementation knowledge of Agentforce, including agent design, subagents/instructions, actions, grounding, guardrails, and integration with Salesforce data and business processes.
· Understanding of Data 360 architecture and capabilities, including data ingestion, harmonization, identity resolution, calculated insights, segmentation, and activation.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance architectural quality, delivery timelines, maintainability, and cost.
· Clear communication with business stakeholders, architects, developers, QA, DevOps, and client leadership; able to explain complex technical choices in practical terms.
· Salesforce Certified Application Architect preferred; relevant Salesforce developer and industry certifications are an advantage.
