Position Summary:
Salvage Technicians report to the Project Manager when on projects and to the Facility/Warehouse Manager when not deployed. Salvage Technicians are the general labor positions associated with salvage jobs to include, but not be limited to, the following tasks.
Position Responsibilities:
- Handling of diaphragm pumps, gas powered trash pumps, electric submersible pumps, air compressors, generators, and associated items such as hoses, oilers and water separators.
- Technician handles all rigging procedures for crane lifts.
- Responsible for learning and using current crane hand signals for crane lifts.
- Able to operate all equipment including start and run procedures and checking all fluids before operation.
- Proper fueling, start up and storage procedures for all equipment.

- Air compressors
- Light towers
- Gas trash pumps
- Inspection and maintenance of all lighting equipment.
- String lights including bulbs and cords
- Extension cords
- Bulbs in light tower and proper procedure for replacing bulb(s)
- Halogen lights and proper procedure for replacing bulb(s)
- Site maintenance
- Proper storing of gear, rigging and supplies.
- Trash control including keeping all trash and scrap metal picked up and disposed of in the correct containers.
- Experienced in fire watch procedures to assist welders and burners.
- Paint application, sand blasting and coatings on projects.
- Cleaning of pumping equipment and hoses after they are used.
- Post project inspection of equipment for defects to be noted with Red tags and repacked for return to warehouse.
- Other duties as assigned
- One (1) or more years of work experience in similar capacity.
- Experience with crane riggings and crane hand signals preferred.
- Training required prior to operation of any equipment.
- Training and/or certification required prior to operation of any company owner (or leased) vehicles or equipment.

Travel Requirement:
Up to 25% travel is required. If additional travel is required beyond the specified amount, based on the operational demand, you will be notified accordingly so arrangements can be made.
