Contract Duration: 6 Months (Extendable based on project needs)

Role Summary

Globalwave Softech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a talented SAP ABAP Consultant for a 6-month contractual role to work with one of our prestigious clients.

The consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining custom solutions within SAP S/4HANA environments.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in ABAP on HANA, Core Data Services (CDS), OData Services, RAP, and Fiori integrations, with a clear understanding of performance optimization and modern SAP development standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms using ABAP.
• Design and implement CDS Views, AMDP, and OData Services for SAP Fiori and analytical applications.
• Build RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model) applications and ensure Clean Core compliance.
• Support integration with SAP CPI, BTP, and external APIs.
• Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and debugging using SAP tools (ST05, SAT, SCI).
• Collaborate with functional teams (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP) for technical design and solution delivery.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test scripts, and functional specifications.
• Participate in unit testing, SIT, and UAT phases.
• Provide production support and ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
• Work with minimal supervision while adhering to project timelines and development standards.
  
  

Technical Expertise

• Strong programming experience in ABAP on HANA (Open SQL, Code Pushdown, CDS Views, AMDP).
• Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA data models and Fiori UI5 integration.
• Experience with RAP, OData, and Gateway Services.
• Expertise in classical ABAP objects: Reports, BAPIs, BADIs, Enhancements, BDCs, and SmartForms.
• Familiarity with Adobe Forms, ALE/IDoc interfaces, and Proxy Framework.
• Version control and DevOps exposure using gCTS or Git.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across SAP modules.

• Exposure to SAP BTP and CAP (Cloud Application Programming) model.
• Familiarity with Fiori/UI5 custom app development.
• Experience with SAP CPI, Integration Suite, or Git-based transports (gCTS).
  
  

Certifications / Preferred Tools

SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP for SAP HANA

Tools: Eclipse ADT, BAS, RAP Generator, ABAP Unit Test Framework, CDS Analyzer, Transport Organizer, and Postman.
