SAP ABAP Developer

This is a remote position.

Role Overview

The SAP ABAP Developer participates in designing and coding complex features, debugging, unit testing, building, configuring, and deploying application software.

The successful candidate will demonstrate full responsibility for assigned objects and handle tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate full responsibility for assigned objects and handle tasks independently.
  
• Analyze, design, and recommend third-party tools and custom applications.
  
• Analyze required functionality and implement platform customizations or develop custom solutions to fulfill business requirements.
  
• Collaborate with team members to understand business requirements and create clear technical specifications outlining the specific enhancement or functionality required.
  
• Provide estimations, status updates, and escalations to support the timely delivery of solutions.
  
• Provide support to projects already live and develop new objects for ongoing projects.
  
• Provide ongoing support to business and content teams managing sites on strategic technology platforms.
  
• Provide technical oversight to project delivery team members.
  
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
  
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  

Technical Skills

• Core ABAP & S/4HANA: Deep expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP, CDS Views, SAP Data Dictionary, SQL tuning, and S/4HANA migrations.
  
• Deep, hands-on experience with classic SAP Business Workflow.
  
• Deep, hands-on experience with Adobe Forms development.
  
• Modern Extensibility: Strong knowledge of RAP and SAP Fiori/OData integration.
  
• Integration & Tools: Familiarity with SAP BTP, PI, Solution Manager, and Agile/DevOps pipeline tools.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and experience implementing SAP solutions and systems required.
  
• Minimum of 3 full SAP implementation project lifecycle experiences, with demonstrated expertise in implementation projects involving SAP technologies and SAP development.
  
• Good experience in the SAP support project lifecycle.
  
• Experience with ABAP Objects, Object-Oriented Programming, conversions, enhancements, BADI, and performance tuning.
  
• Strong experience with Gateway Services and OData concepts.
  
• Good experience with WebDynpro applications and Web Services.
  
• Good experience with FPM reports.
  
• Strong background in SAP Technical Development (ABAP) / ABAP for HANA.
  
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori would be an advantage.
  
• Intermediate-high level English language communication is required.
  
• Experience managing integrations to and from SAP systems.
  
• SAFe Agile or other Agile methodology experience preferred.
