This is a remote position.
Role Overview
You will lead or execute custom code remediation, performance optimization, and technical conversion tasks during the system transition from legacy ECC environments to SAP S/4HANA.
Key Responsibilities
• Code Remediation: Analyze and adapt custom ABAP code, reports, and enhancements to make them compatible with the S/4HANA simplification database list. [1, 2]
• ATC and Simplification Analysis: Use the ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) and run simplification item checks to identify obsolete code. [1]
• SPAU/SPDD Adjustments: Handle dictionary and program adjustments during the system upgrade process. [1]
• Performance Tuning: Optimize legacy programs to run efficiently on the SAP HANA database using modern techniques like CDS views and ABAP for S/4HANA. [1, 2]
• Fiori and UI/UX Support: Assist in Fiori app activation, OData services configuration, and user experience modernization. [1]
Required Qualifications
• Experience: 7 to 10+ years of total SAP ABAP experience, with hands-on participation in at least 2 to 3 Brownfield conversion projects (system conversions/technical upgrades).
• Core Skills: Advanced Object-Oriented ABAP, debugging, SQL optimization, and enhancement frameworks (BAdIs, User Exits).
• S/4HANA Knowledge: Deep understanding of S/4HANA data structures, custom code adaptation, and migration cockpit tools.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
