Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Basis administration, SAP S/4HANA landscapes, and SAP HANA Database Administration.

The consultant will be responsible for managing and supporting SAP environments, ensuring system stability, performance, availability, and smooth production operations.

The ideal candidate should have experience in SAP system administration, installations, upgrades, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and Application Management Support (AMS) within a global support environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and associated SAP systems.
  

• Perform regular system monitoring, health checks, and proactive issue resolution.
  

• Manage SAP transports across environments and support application release activities.
  

• Execute SAP system refreshes, client copies, kernel upgrades, and system maintenance activities.
  

• Troubleshoot SAP Basis incidents, performance issues, and system outages.
  

• Support SAP HANA Database Administration, including database monitoring and performance optimization.
  

• Manage SAP system installations, upgrades, and support package implementations.
  

• Coordinate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams to resolve technical issues.
  

• Support high availability, backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
  

• Ensure adherence to operational procedures, change management, security, and audit requirements.
  

• Participate in scheduled maintenance, production deployments, and system upgrades.
  

• Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and system administration records.
  

• Provide support during critical business periods, planned upgrades, and project releases.
  

• Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to maintain stable application operations.
  

• Provide support in a 24×7 global AMS environment, including rotational shifts and night-shift coverage.
  

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system incidents within agreed SLA timelines.
  

Work Arrangement

• Location: Any Deloitte Location – India
  

• Work Mode: Hybrid
  

• Office Attendance: 2 Days per Week
  

• Shift Requirements: Rotational Shifts, including Night Shifts, Weekends, and On-Call Support
  

• Contract Duration: 6 Months
  

• Background Verification: Mandatory
  

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration.
  

• Strong experience supporting SAP S/4HANA landscapes.
  

• Hands-on knowledge of SAP HANA Database Administration.
  

• Experience with SAP system installations and upgrades.
  

• Practical experience performing SAP system refreshes and client copies.
  

• Expertise in kernel upgrades and support package upgrades.
  

• Strong knowledge of SAP performance monitoring, system tuning, and troubleshooting.
  

• Experience working with SAP Transport Management System (TMS).
  

• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager and system monitoring tools.
  

• Understanding of SAP user administration and Basis-related authorizations.
  

• Experience with SAP job scheduling, system monitoring, and incident management.
  

• Knowledge of high availability, backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.
  

• Understanding of integrations between SAP and non-SAP applications.
  

• Experience working within AMS support models and SLA-driven environments.
  

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with cloud-hosted SAP environments.
  

• Exposure to SAP infrastructure administration and cross-functional production support.
  

• Experience supporting global SAP landscapes and business-critical production systems.
  

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to work in a hybrid arrangement with 2 days per week in the office.
  

• Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including night shifts and weekends.
  

• Availability for planned on-call support and critical production incidents.
