Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis / HANA Database Administrator to oversee the stability, performance, and security of our enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate will manage cross-environment landscape architectures, optimize HANA in-memory performance parameters, govern system sizing, and lead patch upgrades to ensure absolute platform availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and optimize multi-tier SAP landscape architectures, supervising installation, client copies, system refreshes, and transport management system (TMS) configurations.
  • Manage and fine-tune SAP HANA databases, auditing memory allocations, row/column store distribution, CPU utilisation, and delta merge execution frequencies.
  • Orchestrate backup and disaster recovery frameworks, configuring high availability (HA) nodes, SAP HANA system replication (HSR), and bare-metal restore protocols.
  • Execute system maintenance tasks, applying Support Packages, SAP Notes, Kernel upgrades, and executing core component version upgrades using Software Update Manager (SUM).
  • Govern platform security policies, defining system parameters, managing cryptography layers, tracking audit logs, and configuring complex user authorization structures.
  • Conduct rigorous workload analysis and system tuning, diagnosing bottlenecks using SAP Solution Manager, HANA Cockpit, DB02, and ST03N transaction monitors.
  • Support cloud infrastructure connectivity, configuring network parameters, RFC destinations, web dispatcher routing, and cloud-to-on-premise data connections.


Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of core enterprise IT infrastructure engineering experience, with 4+ dedicated years actively designing, building, and maintaining SAP Basis landscapes.
  • Strong technical mastery of SAP NetWeaver architecture, Linux operating systems (SUSE/RHEL), SAP HANA Studio/Cockpit management, and SQL scripting.
  • Deep structural understanding of system memory limits, memory dump troubleshooting, security encryption, and transport transport paths.
  • Mandatory certification: SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration OR SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior cloud migration infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud hosting configurations).
  • Experience implementing automated Basis maintenance workflows or managing system telemetry alerts within large scale, multi-region database landscapes.
