SAP Data migration consultant

We are currently looking for an SAP Data Migration consultant to join a freelance project with one of our global end clients. The role will focus primarily on Material Master, BOM and Routing within the MM/PP/QM areas.

Start: October 2026

Duration: 12 month initial contract with possible extensions

Location: Remote – Possible travel for key activities (less than 10%)

Role/Responsibilities

• Bring 8+ years of SAP Data Migration experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment and across the full migration lifecycle.
• Strong hands-on experience with S/4HANA Data Migration tools, including Migration Cockpit, Fiori Migrate Your Data, LTMC and LTMOM.
• Proven development experience with SAP Data Services (BODS), including its use as an ETL tool for data migration.
• Focus on migration projects covering Material Master, BOM and Routing, with a good understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes.
• Experience developing and supporting migration objects, with ABAP knowledge for enhancements and debugging considered an advantage.
• Good knowledge of IDocs, BAPIs, staging tables and other interfaces, as well as working with SAP and non-SAP source systems.
• Ability to prepare technical specifications, estimate effort and manage priorities throughout end-to-end data migration projects.
• A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams, sharing knowledge, coordinating activities and escalating issues where required.
