SAP FI module – Financial Accounting Experts

Job Description This is a remote position. The Opportunity: Pentoz is seeking an experienced SAP FI (Financial Accounting) Expert to lead financial process transformation projects within SAP ERP systems. You will be responsible for the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and support of SAP FI solutions across diverse industry verticals. This role is ideal for finance professionals with strong SAP functional expertise who are passionate about driving automation, compliance, and business insight through ERP platforms. Key Responsibilities: Lead SAP FI module implementation and support activities including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP FI solutions Configure and customize SAP FI functionalities to meet operational, statutory, and financial reporting needs Integrate SAP FI with related modules including CO (Controlling), MM (Materials Management), and SD (Sales and Distribution) Support financial closing processes and ensure accurate and timely reporting Develop functional specifications for enhancements, reports, and interfaces Participate in end-to-end SAP project phases including blueprinting, design, testing, data migration, cutover, and go-live support Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to SAP FI modules Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, IFRS/GAAP standards, and audit requirements Train end-users and provide post-implementation documentation and support Required Qualifications: 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FI configuration and implementation At least 1 full-cycle SAP ERP or S/4HANA implementation with a focus on FI module Strong understanding of financial processes including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report, and asset lifecycle Proficiency in SAP FI sub-modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, Banking) Experience in integration with CO, MM, and SD modules Knowledge of tax procedures, payment methods, foreign currency, and financial reporting Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: SAP Certification in FI (Financial Accounting) Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (Central Finance, Universal Journal) Familiarity with country-specific requirements (India GST, US GAAP, EU VAT, etc.) Background in finance or accounting roles with ERP implementation experience Experience working with tools like SAP Fiori, BTP, or advanced reporting platforms What We Offer: Remote-first opportunity with flexible work arrangements Competitive compensation and bonus structure based on performance Exposure to global clients across various industries including manufacturing, services, and retail Access to SAP best practices, training resources, and certification support Clear career growth toward SAP Finance Architect or Delivery Lead roles About Pentoz: Pentoz is a fast-growing technology and consulting company focused on enterprise innovation and automation.
