Job Description

IIS is seeking an experienced SAP IS-U / SAP S/4HANA Utilities Consultant with strong knowledge of utility industry business processes and end-to-end meter-to-cash operations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with SAP ECC IS-U or SAP S/4HANA Utilities and a solid understanding of electricity, gas, or water utility operations. The consultant will support utility business processes, system configuration, implementation, enhancements, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with SAP ECC IS-U or SAP S/4HANA Utilities to support utility business operations.
• Understand electricity, gas, or water utility business processes and translate business requirements into SAP solutions.
• Support end-to-end meter-to-cash processes, including customer onboarding, service connections, meter installation, meter reading, billing, invoicing, payments, and collections.
• Analyze business requirements and prepare functional specifications and process documentation.
• Support SAP Utilities configuration, testing, issue resolution, and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with business users, technical developers, and integration teams to deliver effective solutions.
• Perform functional testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution.
• Troubleshoot utility billing, metering, invoicing, and customer account issues.
• Support data migration, system upgrades, and integration with related SAP modules and external utility systems.
• Maintain documentation for business processes, configurations, and support procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC IS-U or SAP S/4HANA Utilities.
• Understanding of electricity, gas, or water utility business processes.
• Knowledge of end-to-end meter-to-cash processes.
• Familiarity with customer service, device management, meter reading, billing, and invoicing.
• Understanding of SAP integration with financial accounting and customer account management processes.
• Experience with requirements gathering, functional documentation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with functional and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP IS-U modules such as Billing, Invoicing, Device Management, Customer Service, or FI-CA.
• Experience in SAP Utilities implementation, rollout, enhancement, or production support projects.
• Knowledge of smart metering, meter data management, and utility market interfaces.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Utilities transformation or migration projects.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SAP testing tools.
