DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role
We are looking for a service-oriented SAP L1 Support Consultant to join our SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud team. You will be responsible for day-to-day support operations, user enablement, issue resolution, and training delivery. The role also involves working with ticketing tools like JIRA and contributing to documentation and process improvement. Close work with an AMS partner, including ticket triage and review meetings. Some involvement in UAT tasks whilst the project is rolled out to new countries.
As the SAP L1 Support Consultant, you will:
- Provide timely support to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud users, including issue logging, triaging, tracking, and resolution.
- Log, categorize, and manage incidents and service requests using ticketing tool.
- Perform basic troubleshooting, including user access, role mapping, and Fiori navigation issues.
- Coordinate with SAP for hotfixes or patches and validate compatibility of new releases or upgrades.
- Address security vulnerabilities or audit findings & implement advanced role and authorization controls.
- Perform root cause analysis and escalate to SAP Product Support when needed.
- Assist in minor configuration changes or enhancement requests.
- Prepare and deliver user training sessions; develop training materials and quick guides.
- Participate in testing and data validation during deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and escalate complex issues when needed.
- Monitor system health and user activity using SAP Cloud ALM or similar tools.
- Assist in Fit-to-Standard workshops and maintain process documentation.
- Maintain support documentation and contribute to the knowledge base.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you
The ideal SAP L1 Support Consultant will have:
• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of SAP support experience, including hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud (mandatory).
• Experience supporting SAP core business processes and modules, such as Finance, Procurement, and Sales, as well as familiarity with SAP Fiori applications.
• Experience working in a structured support environment using ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar platforms.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to support, guide, and train end users effectively.
• Experience supporting multi-country deployments or working within a global support model.
• Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), extensibility frameworks, or custom development concepts would be considered an advantage.
• Experience with SAP Enable Now would be considered an advantage.
• Relevant SAP certifications would be considered a plus.
