SAP Material Management Consultant (Remote India)

Position: SAP Material Management (MM) Consultant

Location: India (Remote)

Employment: Full Time (EOR through Deel)

Reports to: Delivery Manager, SAP Practice

Position Overview: Configure, build and support SAP ERP application in Material Management (MM) module. Provide functional design and support for North America based utility clients of VertexOne. Collaborate with the client and NA team members to gather requirements, develop and deploy solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

MM Responsibility

• Work on implementation and/or support of MM module in the business applications and functionality of SAP ERP.
• Responsible for providing functional expertise, guidance, presentation, and instruction on SAP MM solutions to clients
• Knowledge and experience of intercompany processes in SAP
• Work closely with the SAP Run Team in the prioritization, testing, and deployment of system change requests and/or providing support.
• Knowledge of Purchase Requisition, inventory management, Goods related movements, Purchase Order, etc.
• Design and implement core functionalities of SAP MM including screen controls
• Expertise in SAP MM or related functional
• The consultant will assist clients in the implementation and support of SAP modules
• Facilitates the gathering of requirements, designing, implementing and supporting SAP Materials Management to enhance the clients business functionality and performance
• Configure the SAP system in the areas of MM to meet the requirements collected during blueprinting work sessions.

Consulting Responsibility

• Develop templates and methods to improve the efficiency of application support.
• Gather and prioritizes relevant SAP Business requirements and designing the appropriate solution.
• Understands configuration dependencies and inter-relationships between other modules of SAP such as FI-GL, AA, AR, Project systems (PS) and design plus troubleshoot in the area with this knowledge.
• Involvement with MM integration focuses on other SAP-based ERP modules like FI, CO and PS.
• Should have experience and knowledge in S4 HANA with new data structure
• Defines test scenarios to cover full scope of the business as well as creating master data and carry out the unit, cycle and integration tests.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Commerce, Chartered Accountant, Master’s in Business Administration or degree in Finance or equivalent degrees.
• At least 5+ years of experience in SAP application
• Should have minimum of one full life-cycle implementation experience
• Should have mature inter-personnel and communication skills, both written and oral

Desired Skills:

• Fluency in written and spoken English, proficiency with MS Visio, Word and Excel, incident management tools.
• Conceptual understanding of relational databases and middleware technology.
• Basic understanding of SaaS, cloud computing.
• Can work under minimum supervision, good time management and work planning
• Experience in SAP Implementation and Support
• Knowledge of SAP IS-Utilities environment would be an added advantage
