SAP Technical Architect
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Architect with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA and SAP IS-U to design, support, and optimize technical solutions for utility clients. This role will serve as the technical lead for SAP landscapes, ensuring scalable architecture, system integrations, technical governance, and successful delivery of enhancements, projects, and operational support activities.
The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical execution with architectural knowledge and is comfortable collaborating with functional consultants, developers, basis teams, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality SAP solutions.
Expertise
- Technical Solution Design
- Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis
- SAP application architecture (ECC/S4, IS-U, BTP direction, S/4 HANA)
- Integration concepts (APIs, IDocs, Web Services, Events, Middleware architecture
- Basis knowledge (Transport management, upgrades, Client strategy, SAP landscapes, high availability/disaster recover concepts)
- Security concepts and authorizations at a high level
- Performance and sizing considerations
- Infrastructure implications of architectural decisions
- Technical Leadership
- Documentation & Governance
- Continuous Improvement
Key Responsibilities
Technical Architecture & Solution Design
- Ensure SAP technical architecture is maintained across S/4HANA and SAP IS-U environments.
- Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Provide technical design guidance for enhancements, interfaces, reports, conversions, forms, and workflows.
- Participate in architecture reviews and ensure alignment with SAP best practices and enterprise standards.
