Service Designer (SFIA 4 / SFIA 5)

Location: Remote

Clearance: Active SC

Contract: Until March 2027

Rate: £475 or £540 per day Inside IR35 DOE

iO are supporting a major Government programme and are seeking experienced Service Designers to help shape and improve user-centred public services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing end-to-end services across multiple channels and touchpoints
• Mapping user journeys and service blueprints to identify pain points and opportunities
• Working closely with User Researchers, Business Analysts, Product Managers and Delivery teams
• Applying GDS principles and standards throughout the service lifecycle
• Facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
• Using evidence and user insight to drive service improvements
• Contributing to discovery, alpha, beta and live phases of delivery

Key experience required:

• Proven Service Design experience within Government, Public Sector or highly regulated environments
• Strong understanding of GDS service standards and user-centred design
• Experience creating service blueprints, journey maps and design artefacts
• Ability to engage and influence a range of stakeholders
• Active SC Clearance or a clearance that has recently lapsed
