This role is based on-site three days per week, with the flexibility to work from home two days per week. Here’s what you’ll do: Programme Scheduling Activities Develop individual project Gantt charts from first principles using Primavera P6, aligned with the Delivery Programme’s standard Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), identifying all relevant project activities, tasks and milestones. Collaborate with Project Managers and key stakeholders to establish realistic activity durations across the full project lifecycle, including feasibility, design, statutory planning, procurement, construction and operational readiness. Establish appropriate leads, lags, dependencies and contingency allowances (float) to ensure robust programme logic and accurate identification of each project’s critical path. Integrate individual project schedules into a consolidated Master Programme Schedule in Primavera P6, providing a portfolio-wide view of the CIP from a scheduling perspective. Maintain and update individual project schedules on a monthly basis and incorporate changes into the integrated Master Programme to support accurate enterprise-wide reporting. Review and analyse contractor programmes on an ongoing basis and contribute to tender evaluations across a diverse portfolio of projects. Assess project changes, variations and amendments to determine their potential impact on programme, budget and key milestones. Support the development and monitoring of Earned Value Analysis across the project portfolio. Assist in the preparation of programme and project controls reports for the Project Management Team and wider stakeholders. Develop cost-loaded schedules to support detailed cash-flow forecasting and expenditure profiling. Provide project controls and administrative support to facilitate effective project management, including data analysis, programme reviews and preparation of summary documentation. Facilitate cross-project scheduling meetings with design consultants, Contracting Entity personnel and contractors to align scheduling expectations, optimise programmes and promote consistency in scheduling methodologies. Collaborate with pre-construction, construction, design and capacity planning teams to develop schedules supporting project mobilisation, budget development and construction planning. Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assess and incorporate the programme implications of new designs, materials, technologies and construction methodologies. Develop effective interfaces between the Scheduling and Cost & Risk Management teams to improve expenditure forecasting, cost control and risk identification. Analyse programme controls data and prepare concise, high-level programme reports in response to ad-hoc analysis and information requirements from the Programme Controls Manager. Working Within a Multi-Disciplinary Team & Managing Stakeholders Promote a positive, collaborative and performance-focused culture within the scheduling team, encouraging continuous improvement in scheduling practices and performance. Establish and maintain strong, professional and proactive working relationships with colleagues, project teams, contractors, consultants and other programme stakeholders. Provide timely and effective responses to scheduling queries, requests for information and programme-related requirements from stakeholders. Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to ensure programme information is accurate, consistent, transparent and aligned with project and programme objectives. Communicate programme risks, constraints, dependencies and opportunities clearly to relevant stakeholders to support informed decision-making. Ready to push the limits of what’s possible? Here’s what we’re looking for: As the successful candidate, you will have experience working within our primary infrastructure market along with having the following qualfications and experience: Extensive experience in project planning, scheduling, and project controls within large-scale infrastructure, engineering, energy, or construction environments, with advanced expertise in Primavera P6 and strong proficiency in MS Project and project reporting systems. Demonstrated success in developing, integrating, and managing complex project and programme schedules, including schedule development, baseline management, progress monitoring, critical path analysis, forecasting, change management, and performance reporting. Proven ability to develop and embed scheduling frameworks, governance processes, standards, and assurance practices that enhance schedule quality, consistency, compliance, and project delivery performance across multiple projects or portfolios. Extensive experience delivering integrated schedules within complex, multi-disciplinary environments, effectively coordinating, validating, and challenging planning inputs from contractors, consultants, developers, customers, and internal stakeholders. Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior management, lead planning teams, facilitate collaborative planning workshops, and drive schedule-based decision-making across complex project environments. Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify schedule risks, assess delivery impacts, evaluate recovery scenarios, and implement practical mitigation strategies to support successful project outcomes. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing executive-level schedule reports, performance dashboards, and planning insights to support governance, assurance, and strategic decision-making.
