Location: Remote — Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Turkey, Brazil, and Colombia

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Duration: 5 weeks

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Time Zone Requirement: 4 hours of daily overlap with PST

Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

We are looking for professionals with strong analytical, programming, and problem-solving skills to support scientific research and computational projects. Candidates with backgrounds in science, engineering, mathematics, computer science, data analysis, or related technical fields are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and solve technical and research-based problems using programming and computational methods.
• Analyze, process, and interpret complex scientific or technical datasets.
• Build, test, and validate computational workflows and solutions.
• Apply mathematical, statistical, or scientific methods to solve real-world problems.
• Develop test cases, validation methods, and evaluation criteria for technical tasks.
• Document solutions clearly and ensure workflows are reproducible.
• Work with programming tools and terminal-based environments where required.

Requirements

• PhD in a scientific, technical, engineering, or quantitative field.
• Strong programming skills in one or more languages, such as Python, R, MATLAB, Julia, C, or C++.
• Experience with data analysis, scientific computing, computational modeling, numerical methods, or research.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and communicate technical findings clearly.
• Familiarity with Linux, command-line tools, scientific datasets, or automated testing is an advantage.

Compensation

$30–$50 USD per hour equivalent.

This is a task-based engagement, and compensation is tied to approved tasks. Compensation details will be communicated in your local currency.
