Overview

We're looking for a Scientific Software Engineer to develop and support data interfaces, workflows and integration solutions that connect next-generation scientific models with operational forecasting systems.

Working alongside software engineers and scientific teams, you'll help build and maintain applications that process, transform and move large-scale datasets across critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based software applications and data workflows.
• Build data interfaces and integration solutions between new and existing systems.
• Support data transformation, automation and workflow processes.
• Work with scientific and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Produce high-quality, well-tested and well-documented software.
• Contribute to software engineering standards, quality assurance and best practice.

Essential Skills

• Strong Python development experience.
• GIS / spatial data experience.
• Linux administration or development experience.
• Experience with data integration, ETL or workflow automation.
• Knowledge of software development best practices and testing.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
