Job Description Scrum Master (Technical) – State Agency – Phoenix, Mostly Remote – 1 Year SunSoft Online is hiring a Technical Scrum Master for an Arizona state agency, supporting a large, multi-phase greenfield enterprise system implementation. Requirements before applying: You must currently live in the Phoenix metro area , with your city listed on your resume · U.S. citizen or green card holder · no sponsorship · W2 only, no C2C . Required: 10+ years of experience on large, multi-phase complex system implementations, preferably tax-related or financial systems 3–5+ years as a Scrum Master in a software development environment Demonstrated experience transitioning teams from Waterfall to Agile Experience managing complex dependencies on large greenfield enterprise systems Technical background , ideally having served as a developer at some point Excellent communication and vendor relationship management skills Preferred: Public sector or fintech experience in a regulated environment · Jira or Azure DevOps, including queries and reporting · COTS product implementations · end-to-end data management, integration, conversion, and cleansing. The work: Coach a team new to Agile through the transition from Waterfall. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, support backlog refinement and prioritization, coordinate dependencies across technical and business teams, remove impediments involving vendors, integrations, and organizational processes, and help clear technical roadblocks throughout the implementation. · primarily remote with periodic onsite meetings in the Phoenix metro area · Monday–Friday, 8–5 · starts September 28, 2026 · initial 1-year engagement · in-person interview in Phoenix within one week of closing · HireRight background check and drug screening.
