SDET (Salesforce)
VeriforceAs a Salesforce SDET, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Salesforce solutions.
What that means day-to-day:
- Test Planning: Collaborate with the development, business analysis, and project management teams to understand project requirements, define test strategies, and develop comprehensive test plans.
- Test Case Development: Design, document, and maintain detailed test cases and test scenarios to validate Salesforce functionality, customizations, and integrations.
- Manual Testing: Perform thorough manual testing of Salesforce applications, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and repeatability.
- Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that existing functionalities are not adversely affected by new changes or updates.
- Performance Testing: Evaluate the performance and scalability of Salesforce applications, identify potential bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations to improve performance.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Coordinate and conduct UAT sessions with business stakeholders to validate that the solutions meet their needs and expectations.
- Defect Management: Track, manage, and report defects using a defect tracking system, ensuring that all issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Salesforce features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality Salesforce solutions.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and defects to ensure transparency and traceability.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and issues related to Salesforce implementations and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to junior testers and team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance the overall testing capability of the team.
- Test Environment Management: Set up and manage test environments, including configuring Salesforce sandboxes and ensuring data integrity.
- Reporting: Generate and distribute test execution status reports, highlighting key metrics, test coverage, and defect trends.
What you’ll need to be successful:
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years focused on Salesforce QA testing.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in testing Salesforce applications, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and custom solutions.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Familiarity with defect tracking systems, such as Jira or Bugzilla.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Advanced Administrator, or Salesforce Platform App Builder certification.
- Experience: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and participating in Agile development teams.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components, Knowledge of Salesforce integration tools and techniques, such as REST/SOAP APIs and middleware solutions.
