About the Role
We are looking for a Section Chief of Breast Imaging to support the leadership and expansion of our national breast imaging service line. Working closely with and assisting the Medical Director of Breast Imaging, this is a high-impact clinical and operational leadership role designed for an experienced, team-oriented breast radiologist who excels at optimizing subspecialty workflows, elevating clinical quality standards, and supporting a geographically distributed team of breast radiologists. The Section Chief will play a central role in driving practice alignment, optimizing remote diagnostic and screening workflows, overseeing key operational programs (such as EQUIP and peer review), and ensuring clinical excellence across all partner sites.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Medical Director of Breast Imaging in leading the breast radiologist team, contributing to strategic recruitment, clinical mentorship, and team engagement to foster a high-performance, quality-focused culture as the practice scales nationally.
- Manage subspecialty-specific quality assurance programs, including MQSA compliance, EQUIP processes, and peer review.
- Direct site-level operations and partner relations for remote diagnostic programs to maintain diagnostic quality, streamline workflows, and resolve operational issues .
- Serve as a clinical subject-matter expert for breast imaging services during prospective client meetings and partner health system discussions as needed.
- Balance clinical diagnostic reading with section leadership, administrative oversight, and enterprise quality initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
- MD or DO, eligible to practice medicine in the U.S.
- ABR or AOBR board-certified radiologist with fellowship training in Breast Imaging.
- 5+ years post-training clinical experience in high-volume breast imaging (including 3D digital breast tomosynthesis, diagnostic ultrasound, and breast MRI).
- Unrestricted active license in at least one U.S. state with the ability and willingness to obtain additional state licenses.
