Security Administrator

Who we're looking for

We're excited to announce an opportunity for a Security Administrator at Banqsoft to help strengthen Banqsoft’s security operations and continuously improve how we identify, assess and respond to security risks.

As a Security Administrator, you'll play an important role in IT, contributing to solutions, services, and initiatives that create value for our customers and colleagues. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make an impact, collaborate with skilled professionals, and help drive continuous improvement in a dynamic and growing organisation.

You will work closely with our SOC, IT team, software teams and other business areas. You will monitor security risks and vulnerabilities, support incident response, manage security controls and tools, and help translate security requirements into practical processes and guidance.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Apply a risk-based approach to security improvements and remediation, balancing security, customer and business needs

• Work closely with Banqsoft IT and KMD SOC to monitor systems and networks, assess vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation

• Respond to and investigate security incidents

• Manage identity and access controls

• Implement, maintain and improve security tools, including Microsoft Defender, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection and SIEM solutions

• Support audits, risk assessments and implementation of agreed actions

• Define and communicate baseline security requirements for internal use and external contracts

• Develop and continuously improve security processes, policies, user guidance and reporting

• Prepare regular security reports for relevant stakeholders

• Collaborate with software teams and other business areas to improve security practices across Banqsoft

• Stay current with emerging threats and technologies, analyze security and compliance data, and identify opportunities for improvement and automation

Are we a great match?

We're looking for someone who:

• Relevant experience in IT security or security administration

• Strong understanding of network protocols, Windows and Linux operating systems, and cloud platforms

• Hands-on experience with security monitoring, vulnerability management and incident response

• Experience with identity and access management

• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST or CIS

• Practical experience with PowerShell

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate security risks into clear actions and recommendations

• Good communication skills in English

• Strong alignment with our Employee DNA

It’s great if you have (but not a must!):

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CompTIA Security+

• Experience with Python or other scripting languages

• Experience with security automation, cloud security or AI-enabled security tools
