Your Role

We are looking for an experienced Security Architect to help shape and strengthen the security foundations of our global payment orchestration platform.

This is a highly impactful role where you will act as a trusted security expert across the business, partnering with Architecture, Engineering, Product and Operations teams to ensure security is embedded into everything we build. You'll play a key role in driving our security strategy, compliance initiatives and cloud security posture while helping us continue to scale securely as a global fintech organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence major initiatives including DevSecOps, disaster recovery, cloud security, PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001 and SOC 2, while helping protect the platforms and services that power payments for some of the world's leading brands.

Your Team

This role sits within our TechOps organisation, working closely with Architecture, Engineering, Product, Customer Success and Compliance teams across the business.

You will join a globally distributed team of technology professionals responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability and security of CellPoint Digital's platform and services. As a key security expert within the organisation, you will collaborate across multiple teams and functions, helping build a strong security culture while enabling innovation and business growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide security guidance and architectural expertise across platform, application and infrastructure design initiatives

• Partner with Architecture and Engineering teams to ensure security is embedded into new products, services and platform capabilities

• Lead security initiatives supporting PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance programmes

• Drive the implementation and adoption of DevSecOps and Shift-Left Security practices across engineering teams

• Enhance cloud security controls and best practices across our Google Cloud environments

• Design and improve disaster recovery and resilience capabilities across critical systems

• Support API security architecture, API gateways and authentication frameworks

• Identify security risks and provide practical recommendations to reduce risk while supporting business objectives

• Support customer onboarding activities by providing security expertise and responding to security-related enquiries

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors during compliance assessments and certifications

• Promote security awareness and best practices across the organisation

Experience

• 5+ years of experience working within Cyber Security, Security Engineering or Security Architecture roles

• Strong experience designing and implementing security controls across cloud-native environments

• Experience supporting security and compliance frameworks including PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001 or SOC 2

• Strong understanding of web application security and secure software development practices

• Experience implementing DevSecOps and Shift-Left Security initiatives

• Experience working with engineering teams in modern cloud-based environments

• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience operating within fast-paced technology, fintech or SaaS organisations

• Ability to balance security requirements with business and operational objectives

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of Cloud Security principles and best practices

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major cloud providers

• Good understanding of Kubernetes security, preferably within GKE environments

• Deep understanding of Web Application Security concepts and controls

• Experience securing APIs, API gateways and modern integration architectures

• Hands-on experience with authentication and identity management solutions

• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices within engineering organisations

• Knowledge of vulnerability management, risk assessment and security governance

Desirable

• Experience working within payments, fintech or highly regulated industries

• Experience supporting PCI DSS certification programmes

• Experience with security tooling across Kubernetes and cloud-native environments

• Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles

• Experience supporting ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance initiatives

• Familiarity with fraud prevention, payment security and customer authentication technologies
