The role sets the vision for how enterprise AI and agentic systems are secured, builds and leads project teams of principal architects and consultants who deliver that vision, and owns the offering portfolio, go to market motion, and partner ecosystem that carry it to our Security customers. It pairs practice and business leadership with credible technical depth, serving as the executive voice for AI security with client leadership, sales and solutions leaders across the org, and the broader market.
Practice Strategy & Business Leadership
- Own the vision, strategy, and multi year roadmap for the AI Security practice, defining where the practice plays across AI governance, secure AI architecture, MLSecOps, agentic system security, and AI assurance, and how it differentiates in the market.
- Own the domain’s financial performance, including opportunity management, gross profit, margin, utilization, and pipeline health, setting annual targets with Security Solutions leadership and managing the practice to plan.
- Define and evolve the AI security offering portfolio, including service definitions, delivery models, pricing, and packaging, keeping pace with change in AI platforms, agent frameworks, and the regulatory landscape.
- Prioritize investment in methodologies, accelerators, reference architectures, and lab environments, and sponsor development of the intellectual property that shortens delivery and raises quality.
- Represent AI security in Security Solutions planning and operating rhythms, providing forecasts, capacity plans, and risk visibility to senior leadership.
Go to Market & Client Executive Engagement
- Serve as executive sponsor for strategic client relationships, engaging CISOs, CIOs, Chief Data Officers, and boards on AI risk, secure adoption strategy, and investment priorities.
- Lead the pursuit of large and complex AI security opportunities, shaping deal strategy, solution approach, and commercial terms, and serving as the executive escalation point across the sales cycle.
- Partner with sales leadership and account teams to build and manage the AI security pipeline, enabling sellers with positioning, qualification criteria, and client facing collateral.
- Represent the practice externally through conferences, industry forums, and published points of view that establish market credibility and generate demand.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Build, lead, and develop a high performing team of principal architects, lead consultants, and senior consultants, owning hiring plans, career paths, performance management, and succession.
- Set clear expectations and standards for the practice, holding leaders accountable for delivery quality, client outcomes, and the professional growth of their teams.
- Develop the next generation of AI security leaders through coaching, stretch assignments, and structured skills development across AI, cloud, and security domains.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, curiosity, and collaboration that attracts and retains top talent in a highly competitive market.
Delivery Governance & Quality
- Hold ultimate accountability for delivery outcomes across the domain’s portfolio of engagements, including scope, quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.
- Establish and govern delivery standards, quality gates, and engagement risk reviews, and serve as the executive escalation point for delivery issues and client concerns.
- Sponsor the AI security reference architectures, control standards, and pattern library maintained by the practice's principal architects, ensuring they remain current, reusable, and aligned with frameworks.
- Ensure delivery teams have the tooling, lab environments, and enablement needed to assess and secure AI and agentic systems at scale.
Technical Direction & Thought Leadership
- Set the technical direction for the domain, maintaining a credible and current point of view on threats to AI systems, including prompt injection, model supply chain compromise, data poisoning, adversarial attacks, agent identity and authorization failures, and tool and MCP supply chain risk, and on the controls that address them.
- Track developments in AI platforms, agent frameworks, AI security tooling, regulation, and translate them into practice strategy, offerings, and client guidance.
- Author and sponsor thought leadership, frameworks, and executive briefings that shape how clients and the industry approach AI security.
- Participate in industry bodies and standards efforts relevant to AI security, bringing that perspective back into the practice.
Partner Ecosystem & Cross Practice Collaboration
- Own the AI security partner strategy, building executive relationships with AI security vendors, hyperscalers, and model providers, and driving joint solutions, enablement, and joint selling motions.
- Integrate AI security into adjacent practices and offerings, including AI and data, cloud, infrastructure, and the broader cybersecurity portfolio, so that security is embedded in every AI engagement the firm delivers.
- Where applicable, partner with leaders across functional teams to embed security into AI system design, development, and operations.
