About You
Adult learners are at the centre of this role. As Segment Manager, you will own the marketing strategy for this dedicated audience, shaping how prospective adult learners discover, consider and choose their next learning opportunity at RMIT. You will turn audience insight and business priorities into integrated campaigns across media, digital, social, email marketing, guiding activity from initial awareness through to application and conversion.
This is a highly collaborative role for a strategic marketer who understands that adult learners bring different goals, circumstances and decision-making needs to their study choices. You will bring cross-functional teams together, use performance data and attribution insights to improve results, and help grow RMIT's online, face-to-face and hybrid offerings for this audience. It is an opportunity to take on broader leadership, work with new products and make a visible contribution to adult learner acquisition and growth.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
- Extensive experience developing audience-led or segment-based marketing strategies in a complex organisation.
- A strong track record delivering integrated, multi-channel campaigns that support acquisition, or engagement outcomes.
- The ability to translate market research, audience data, attribution and campaign performance into clear priorities and optimisation decisions.
- Experience coordinating activity across digital, media, social, email, creative and recruitment or sales touchpoints.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives without relying on direct authority.
- Sound commercial judgement and confidence working with marketing technology, campaign measurement, ROI and performance reporting.
Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
