At Croud, we believe in unlocking potential – elevating our people, our clients and our communities through the power of intelligence, creativity and collaboration.

Our culture is strategically driven and inspired by a shared long-term vision. It is collaborative and connected, with a focus on continuous learning and mutual support.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Account Director leads day-to-day client relationships and coordinates the delivery of integrated, omni-channel campaigns across a portfolio of key accounts. Working closely with the Managing Partner, they translate client business objectives into clear priorities for strategy, project management and specialist teams, ensuring delivery is effective, commercially sound and consistently meets client expectations.

The role combines trusted client counsel with hands-on account leadership: maintaining visibility of performance, anticipating risks, strengthening client satisfaction and identifying opportunities to grow relationships across Croud and Born Social.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Client leadership: Own day-to-day relationships, understand clients’ commercial drivers and translate their priorities into clear briefs. Map stakeholders and strengthen senior relationships with the Managing Partner.

  • Strategy and planning: Partner with Strategy & Planning to align channel and creative teams around client objectives, budgets and KPIs. Turn specialist insights and performance data into actionable client recommendations.

  • Delivery and performance: Lead and deliver omni-channel campaigns and workstreams with Project Management and specialist leads. Maintain visibility of performance, deadlines, dependencies and quality assurance, agreeing corrective actions and tracking commitments to completion.

  • Commercial management: Monitor contracts, scope, fees and profitability. Work with Finance on forecasts and reporting, flag over-servicing and secure approval for changes to scope or resources.

  • Account growth: Develop growth plans with the Managing Partner. Identify relevant cross-sell opportunities, drawing on Croud and Born Social’s services, proprietary tools and technology.

  • Risk and satisfaction: Gather client feedback and monitor relationship, commercial and delivery risks. Coordinate issue triage, agree one action plan and client response, and escalate material concerns promptly.

  • Team leadership: Align cross-functional teams around clear responsibilities. Coach Client Services colleagues, line-manage where assigned and work with specialist leaders to address capacity gaps and competing priorities.

  • Partnerships and new business: Contribute to pitches and RFPs. Work with channel directors and media partners to bring relevant innovation to clients and represent the agency in industry forums.

  • Accountability: Own day-to-day client communication and account coordination within agreed plans and delegated authority. The Managing Partner retains overall commercial accountability, material approvals and executive escalations. Strategy and Planning owns strategic frameworks; specialist leads own technical execution; Project Management owns schedules and workflow.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Experience: Substantial agency experience leading complex accounts, with a strong understanding of PPC, SEO, paid social, programmatic/display and integrated media and creative delivery.

  • Client counsel: Build trust with senior stakeholders, manage challenging conversations and communicate recommendations clearly and persuasively.

  • Strategic and commercial judgement: Connect performance to business outcomes, interpret measurement and analytics, and manage scope, forecasts and account profitability.

  • Leadership and organisation: Motivate cross-functional teams, develop colleagues and prioritise calmly, with initiative, resilience and attention to detail.
