Show job description

Artsy and Artnet are hiring a Senior Account Executive to grow and manage a portfolio of gallery partners across our full product suite. Business fluency in French is highly desirable, with German or Spanish language skills considered a plus.

You'll manage a book of 150+ galleries and report to your regional Sales Lead. You'll own retention and growth for your portfolio, renewing subscriptions, identifying expansion opportunities, and ensuring partners see meaningful value from the products they purchase. You'll sell across Artsy gallery subscriptions, the Artnet Gallery Network, advertising, the Artnet Price Database, and new products and initiatives as they launch.

This is a senior, commercially driven role that requires strong ownership, sound judgment, and operational excellence. You'll be expected to independently manage your revenue targets, navigate complex negotiations, and proactively identify opportunities to offset revenue risk through growth elsewhere in your portfolio.

Success requires balancing high-volume account management and administrative responsibilities with thoughtful, personalised customer engagement. You'll use Salesforce, Looker, AI, and automation tools to streamline workflows, maintain exceptional data hygiene, and create more capacity for meaningful, human-focused client relationships.

Beyond delivering your own results, you'll contribute to a collaborative, ego-free team culture by sharing your expertise, successes, and learnings to help those around you succeed.

What You'll Do

  • Own retention and revenue growth for a portfolio of 150+ gallery partners, independently managing renewals, upsells, and expansion opportunities to achieve quarterly targets.

  • Sell bundles and multi-product solutions across Artsy and Artnet, including new products and initiatives as they launch.

  • Build a deep understanding of each gallery's business, using consultative discovery to recommend solutions aligned with their needs, goals, and financial circumstances.

  • Lead complex commercial negotiations, confidently handling pricing objections, payment challenges, and renewal discussions while balancing customer relationships with revenue retention goals.

  • Proactively manage revenue risk, identifying opportunities to offset downgrades, churn, or other negative revenue changes through growth elsewhere in your portfolio.

  • Strategically segment and prioritise accounts based on revenue potential, customer needs, and growth opportunities, ensuring your time and attention are invested effectively.

  • Manage a high volume of customer requests, administrative tasks, and client deliverables, including advertising placements and other product commitments, with exceptional organisation and attention to detail.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account records, pipeline activity, and revenue forecasts in Salesforce, ensuring consistently high standards of data hygiene.

  • Leverage Looker, AI, and automation tools to identify opportunities, improve efficiency, streamline repetitive tasks, and create more time for personalised, high-value customer interactions.

  • Plan several quarters ahead, anticipating renewal challenges, identifying risks early, and proactively developing strategies to protect and grow your book of business.

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure seamless delivery of products and services and an excellent partner experience.

  • Actively support your peers by sharing best practices, successful strategies, and lessons learned, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team.

Who You Are

We welcome you to apply even if you don't check every box below.

  • Business fluent in English & French, with the ability to confidently lead commercial conversations, negotiations, and relationship management in both languages.

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B account management or sales, with a demonstrated track record of achieving retention, renewal, and expansion targets.

  • A commercially minded account owner who takes full accountability for their portfolio, proactively addressing revenue challenges and identifying growth opportunities without needing direction.

  • A confident, consultative negotiator who can navigate financial objections, distinguish genuine customer challenges from negotiation tactics, and find commercially sound solutions that protect revenue while maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage a large portfolio, competing priorities, high-volume administrative responsibilities, and time-sensitive client deliverables.

  • Experienced in Salesforce or a comparable CRM, with a commitment to maintaining accurate customer records, reliable forecasting, and excellent data hygiene.

  • Proficient in using AI and automation tools to increase productivity and streamline workflows, while recognising that technology should enhance, not replace, authentic and personalised customer engagement.

  • Experienced in selling multiple products or solutions to existing customers, with the ability to identify opportunities for cross-selling, bundling, and account expansion.

  • Strategic and data-driven, with the ability to assess account potential, prioritise opportunities, and allocate time and resources effectively.

  • Comfortable engaging with senior, discerning clients, confidently advising them, challenging assumptions when appropriate, and building trusted, long-term relationships.

  • A collaborative, ego-free team player who actively shares knowledge, celebrates collective success, and contributes to the development of peers.

  • Based in London, with the ability to work from the office at least three days per week.

Nice to Have

  • Business fluency in German or Spanish.

  • Experience in the art market or another relationship-driven industry.

  • Experience selling SaaS subscriptions, advertising, data products, or other multi-product solutions.

  • Experience managing advertising placements, campaign deliverables, or other customer commitments requiring close operational coordination.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to reimagine the art industry while working with a talented, diverse, international team.

  • Competitive salary and equity.

  • Flexible time off: We empower Artsy employees to take time off based on their desires and the needs that matter most to them.

  • Comprehensive healthcare and benefits: Medical, dental, parental leave, short- and long-term disability, Employee Assistance Program featuring free mental health support, retirement and financial wellness resources, and more.

  • Professional development: Mentoring, lunch and learns, regular training, 1:1 management, and an open feedback culture.

  • Artsy community programming: Happy hours, holiday parties, global All Hands meetings, Artsy Salon (a yearly exhibition of our team's creativity), attendance at art world events, and more.

Benefits vary by location.

Own the Outcome: We need all of us to achieve our mission. We take individual responsibility for team results, and we push to get the job done.

Move Fast, Learn Fast: We are building and reinventing every day, iterating quickly on multiple ideas to find what drives impact. We believe learning happens by doing and seeing what works.

Be Direct, Be Kind: We trust our colleagues and treat them with respect. Solving hard problems requires having hard conversations, and we support one another by being candid and kind.

Build for the Customer: We believe the art market has to evolve in order to flourish. We have a unique role to play in that growth, so we work hard to deeply understand the industry and build tools that solve real user needs.

Embrace Change: Achieving our mission in a dynamic tech environment demands constant change. We lean in to opportunity, face ambiguity bravely, and model to others and the industry a state of constant innovation and evolution.

Artsy is an equal opportunity employer. We value a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture. We encourage applications from all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, national origin, marital status, disability, and veteran status.
