About Vivid Machines

Vivid Machines is an AI startup bringing real-time intelligence to fruit farming, so growers can make the best decision on every acre and keep healthy food on everyone’s table. Our XV vision system mounts on the equipment growers already own and, as it drives through the orchard, our AI counts and sizes every tree and every fruit on the spot, no cloud required, turning the data into decisions growers act on the same day: where to thin, where to spray, where to send crews, and what the harvest will look like months ahead. That same data is now feeding the next wave of farm automation: we’re partnering with precision sprayer, robotics and autonomous equipment companies so their machines can see what we see and act on every tree. The result is a smarter farm, a better living for growers, and healthier, more affordable food for everyone.

We spent years building the technology and proving it in real orchards, with growers who put it to the test. That work is paying off, and we’re now scaling quickly. Vivid has analyzed tens of millions of trees and vines so far this year, building the world’s largest plant-level dataset of fruit crops, and we work with some of the largest apple growers in the world. Growers who start with us expand with us. Next, we’re bringing the same clarity to cherries, pears, vineyards and kiwifruit and adding disease detection. We’re growing the team that brings this to the farm.

The Role

We’re hiring a Senior Account Executive to own and grow our West Coast business across Washington, Oregon and California.

You’ll build relationships with large fruit growers and packers (operations that grow, pack, store and sell their own fruit), vineyard management companies, crop advisors and precision-equipment partners, managing the full sales cycle from the first conversation through close and account expansion. You’ll develop new business, turn successful pilots into long-term customers, and help existing customers get more value from Vivid as they add precision equipment and bring data into more of their decisions.

This role suits someone who understands how growers make decisions, can connect what Vivid sees in the orchard to measurable business value, and takes ownership of a territory. You should be equally comfortable walking an orchard with a farm manager and discussing return on investment with the owner.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle with large apple, pear and cherry growers, packers and vineyard management companies, from prospecting through close, expansion and renewal.
  • Build a strong pipeline across Washington, Oregon and California, including new crops and customer segments.
  • Convert development-year customers into paid, multi-year contracts on Vivid’s simple per-camera annual lease.
  • Lead on-farm demonstrations and work with growers, crop advisors and farm managers to understand their operations and priorities.
  • Build a clear business case that connects what we see in the orchard to crop-load targets, labor efficiency, input savings, fruit quality and yield forecasting.
  • Meet agreed weekly activity targets and monthly pipeline and revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate, current CRM records and reliable sales forecasts.
  • Partner with Customer Success and field teams to support a smooth transition from sale to deployment.
  • Represent Vivid at regional trade shows and grower events.
  • Bring customer feedback to Product and leadership to help shape what we build next.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience, with a record of closing enterprise deals with large agricultural operations.
  • An established network among tree fruit or grape growers in the Pacific Northwest or California.
  • The ability to develop and manage your own territory, pipeline and calendar.
  • Strong discovery, negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to explain technical products in practical business terms.
  • Disciplined CRM use and comfort working toward clear activity and revenue targets. HubSpot experience is an asset.
  • A valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25-50% of the time.

Additional experience we value:

  • Selling agtech, precision agriculture solutions or farm equipment.
  • Horticulture, crop advising, or orchard or vineyard management.
  • Education in agriculture or a related field.
  • Spanish language skills.

How We Work

We set ambitious goals and expect excellent work. That means taking initiative, exercising sound judgment, delivering on commitments and being accountable for results. When something gets in the way, we raise it early and bring ideas for moving forward.

You’ll have the trust and authority to make decisions, shape your territory and act on opportunities. You’ll also have the support of the whole team - from leadership and Product to Customer Success and field operations. We share expertise, challenge ideas constructively and help each other deliver.

Curiosity and continuous learning are part of the job. We seek different perspectives, welcome direct feedback and turn what we learn into better execution. We move with purpose, improve as we go and keep our focus on practical results for growers.

Compensation and Location

  • Annual base salary of $110,000 - $150,000 USD, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
  • Uncapped commission: Earn commission on every eligible sale, with no cap and an accelerated rate once you’re above quota, under Vivid’s sales commission plan..
  • Equity participation through Vivid’s stock option plan.
  • Benefits: Health and dental coverage, paid time off, a home-office and travel expense allowance and a laptop so you’re set up to work from the field.
  • Based in Washington State or Northern California, with Washington preferred.
  • Approximately 50% travel, including frequent visits to growers in central Washington (Wenatchee, Yakima and the Tri-Cities) and travel throughout the West Coast territory.

Why Join Vivid

Help change how the world grows its food. Growers feed everyone, and better decisions on the farm have a direct impact on food production, farm profitability and the land and water we all depend on. You’ll join an early-stage AI company at the moment our technology is moving from pilots to scale, working alongside the people who grow our food and giving them tools that get smarter every season.

You’ll own an important territory, work closely with company leadership, and influence how we grow. Your relationships and insight will help shape both our commercial approach and the technology we deliver to growers.
