What will you be doing?
The Senior Account Manager is a key member of the Retail Client Insights team. The ideal candidate will bring a high degree of autonomy, problem-solving skills, and strategic thinking, paired with strong analytical capabilities. The ability to manage multiple priorities, combined with exceptional organizational and relationship-building skills, is critical to delivering outstanding service to our retail client. Success in this role will be measured by helping our client grow their business while identifying opportunities to strengthen, expand, and evolve the partnership.
Job Responsibilities
- Build expertise in the Beauty industry, your client's business, and the broader U.S. retail landscape; develop a deep understanding of the factors influencing shopper behavior and retailer performance.
- Coordinate, execute, analyze, and present insights from available data assets, delivering actionable recommendations that address client opportunities and business challenges.
- Develop and manage strategic account plans and relationship maps designed to deepen engagement and expand the client partnership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across Circana to address client business needs, while serving as a strong advocate for the client.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and training sessions on Circana’s tools, platforms, and solutions.
- Partner with retailer contacts on strategic initiatives and ad hoc analyses while ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of ongoing reporting.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in syndicated data, analytics, account management, market research, or related fields.
- Beauty, retail, and/or general merchandise industry experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Genius Script, SQL, and/or Tableau is a plus but not required.
- Strong ability to analyze large datasets, develop compelling insights, and deliver impactful presentations and storytelling.
- Demonstrated curiosity and learning agility, with a passion for leveraging emerging technologies, data, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, uncover insights, and enhance client value.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across remote, virtual, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and proactively manage stakeholder expectations.
- Experience engaging with client stakeholders at all levels in a consultative manner, using sound judgment and adaptability to solve business challenges, drive outcomes, and strengthen partnerships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences and perspectives.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of contractual obligations

This position can be located in the following area(s): San Francisco, CA (Bay area) or Remote with ability to travel to San Francisco 4-6x per year.
