Senior Accountant

Your role

As Senior Accountant, you will take on a key position within our organization. You will be part of the Consolidation & Accounting team and act as the subject-matter contact for the statutory accounting of Drylock Technologies NV. You combine operational involvement with ownership of closing, reporting, compliance and process improvement.

Your responsibilities

• You manage the full accounting of Drylock Technologies NV.
• You coordinate and perform the monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
• You handle the intercompany recharge of group costs and follow up on correct processing and reconciliation.
• You ensure correct VAT processing and closely follow tax and accounting regulations.
• You prepare the statutory annual accounts and the underlying closing file, and safeguard the alignment between accounting, reporting and supporting documentation.
• You build a complete and audit-proof file and act as a point of contact for external auditors during the statutory audit.
• You optimize existing financial procedures, document processes and contribute to a strong internal control environment.
• You provide input for the budget of Drylock Technologies NV.
• You actively participate in various finance projects, such as e-invoicing, AI-driven optimizations, automation and further process standardization.
• You act as a coaching and subject-matter point of contact for the statutory accounting of Drylock Technologies NV, while AP, AR and financial transactions are handled by another colleague within the organization.
• You support colleagues with accounting-related questions and work closely with Tax & Treasury, Controlling, Consolidation and local finance contacts across Europe as well as North & South America.

Your profile

• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting-Taxation, Finance or an equivalent field of study.
• You preferably have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a broad accounting role.
• You have a solid command of general accounting, monthly and annual closing, VAT and statutory reporting, and are able to independently take ownership of a file.
• You work comfortably with Excel and an ERP system. Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a clear plus.
• You are accurate, analytical, discreet and deadline-oriented.
• You are proactive, hands-on and solution-oriented, and you actively think along about more efficient processes.
• You communicate clearly and enjoy working with diverse stakeholders in an international environment.
• You have a very good command of Dutch and English.
• You are flexible and have a clear passion for the profession.
• You are a true team player who enjoys collaborating and sharing knowledge.
