Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) is seeking a Senior Accountant in beautiful Eden Prairie. This is a hybrid role with some travel to sites and/or conferences.

What You Bring (Requirements)
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field.
- Four (4)+ years of professional experience, at least three (3) of which should include general ledger and
financial reporting. - Previous experience in health care accounting.
- Public accounting/audit experience preferred.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Proficiency with various accounting software, including NetSuite, Microsoft Office and computerized
accounting systems designed for companies in the $50 - $250 million (revenue) range. - Ability to work flexible hours. Ability to travel is required.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Responsible for the completion of financial statements for Facilities.
- Gathering information from each facility and recording the journal entries, generating the financial statements, reviewing financial statements, and reconciling accounts on a monthly basis.
- Review of A/R Journal Entries, Cash, Census, A/R Payor Review.
- Review and approval of A/P Invoices, Census, IBNR and Claims Paid.
- Provide daily support on financial and accounting matters to Operations, Accounting Department, Facility Executive Directors and Business Office Staff.
- Accurate interpretation of financial information.
- Timely responses to requests for assistance.
- Provide departmental assistance with questions relating to general ledger, AP, PR, and A/R.
- Prepare for the annual audit. Reconcile accounts and prepare audit work papers.
- Reconcile accounts and prepare work papers and cost reports annually, as requested.
- Assist with providing information to facilitate preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
for appropriate SNFs, as requested.
- Additional duties and job functions as assigned such as:
- Quarterly fiscal soundness.
- Monthly state financial reporting.
- Annual submissions of Part D bids.
