About Farsight Vision
Farsight Vision develops AI-powered geospatial intelligence solutions for defence and security operations. The platform transforms raw aerial and sensor data into real-time 3D environments, actionable analytics, and AI-assisted operational scenarios, enabling enhanced situational awareness, mission planning, and faster decision-making for both human operators and autonomous systems. We operate at the intersection of geospatial data, computer vision, and defense operations – and if that interests you, read on.
We are looking for a Senior Accountant who will keep the books of our Ukrainian and Estonian entities accurate, closed on time and ready for any question – from the CFO, an auditor or a partner. You will also be one of the people who rebuilds our finance processes as we move to an ERP. This is not a role for someone who waits to be told what to do. If a reconciliation does not tie out, you dig until it does.
Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end bookkeeping and the month-end and year-end close for the Ukrainian entity, working alongside our Chief Accountant
Keep the Estonian entity’s books in order together with our outsourced accountant in Estonia – provide data, review their work and resolve open items quickly
Manage bank operations, AP and AR, invoicing and reconciliations across UAH, EUR and USD
Handle intercompany transactions and settlements between the Ukrainian and Estonian entities
Account for fixed assets, intangibles and inventory
Prepare VAT returns and other tax reporting for the Ukrainian entity in coordination with the Chief Accountant
Review the monthly trial balance, balance sheet, P&L and general ledger, and prepare inputs for management reporting, cash flow forecasts and budgets
Review payroll and grant-related postings before close, so the numbers that reach the CFO are already checked
Act as the main working contact for auditors and tax inspections, with documents ready before they are requested
Take an active part in our ERP implementation – mapping processes, migrating data and making sure the new system reflects how we actually work
Requirements
5+ years in accounting, with proven ownership of full bookkeeping and close cycles, not just task execution
Strong knowledge of Ukrainian accounting standards and tax law, including VAT and corporate income tax
Working knowledge of IFRS
Experience in multi-currency and multi-entity accounting, including intercompany
Confident BAS and M.E.Doc, and advanced Excel or Google Sheets
An ownership mindset – you close open items instead of reporting that they exist
English at B2 level or higher – you will work in English with our Estonian accountant, auditors and international partners
Nice to have:
Experience with an ERP implementation or migration (Business Central, NetSuite, Odoo or similar)
Experience with Estonian or other EU accounting
Experience in defence tech or manufacturing – state contracts, import of components, inventory and production costing
Transfer pricing experience
Experience in a Diia City resident company
Security Eligibility
Our platform is actively used by the Armed Forces in live operations. As an Estonian-Ukrainian defence technology company handling sensitive operational data, we have a responsibility – legal, ethical, and practical – to ensure the integrity of everyone on our team.
All candidates must be able to confirm the following:
Neither you nor your close relatives (parents, spouse, siblings, children) reside in Russia, Belarus, or temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories
You have no regular personal, financial, business, or professional contact with individuals in those territories
You consent to a deeper security verification if the process advances to later stages
If any of the above criteria are not met, please do not proceed with your application.
Why Farsight Vision
We are a startup operating under real-world conditions – our product is in active deployment, and the pace reflects that. Accurate books are not a formality here – they are what lets us sign contracts, pass audits and secure the funding that keeps our product in the field. You will work directly with the CFO, shape our finance processes while they are still being built, and take them into a new ERP. Hybrid work from our Lviv office.
Flexible working hours. Paid vacation and sick leave. Direct access to founders and leadership.
