๐Ÿ  What Do We Do?

The shift to electric mobility is happening. Electra is accelerating it.

Transportation is one of Europe's biggest sources of carbon emissions. Since 2021, Electra exists to make charging so simple that electric vehicles become the obvious choice for everyone.

In 5 years, we've built a team of 300+ talents from 21 nationalities in 10 countries.

Weโ€™ve grown into one of Europe's leading fast-charging operators by deploying fast, reliable infrastructure and user experiences across our own network, and weโ€™re now expanding to thousands more charging points in Europe with our own eMSP.
Backed by over โ‚ฌ1 billion in funding, weโ€™re looking for bold, passionate, collaborative talents to drive Europeโ€™s energy transition.

If that sounds exciting, weโ€™d love to hear from you!

๐Ÿ’ผ Your Missions

Own the general ledger and the full statutory accounting cycle for Electra Italy. Youโ€™ll work closely with the Finance Manager, the external consultants and the HQ Accounting team.

๐Ÿฆธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿฆธโ€โ™‚๏ธYour responsibilities

Supervision of general and subsidiary accounting

  • General accounting: supervise, review and correct the general accounting, including payroll, fixed assets, taxes and VAT, whether produced internally, by the SSC or by external consultants.

  • Own the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the general ledger and all sub-ledgers (AP, AR, fixed assets, intercompany, accruals).

  • Cost management accounting: review and correct the cost accounting axes.

  • Subsidiary accounting: manage customer collections follow-up, justify supplier balances, keep account reconciliations up to date, and handle confirmations (circularization).

  • Accounting organization and inventory valuation.

  • Act as full backup for the AP Accountant on day-to-day accounting, ensuring continuity.

Closing and reporting

  • Manage the entire monthly and annual closing cycle, including balance sheet reconciliations, and keep the books audit-ready at all times.

  • Strengthen group closing processes and manage the calendar and the tasks to be completed.

  • Calculate cut-offs (prepaid expenses, accrued expenses not yet invoiced, accrued income, etc.).

  • Prepare adjustment journal entries and the Italy/HQ reporting bases.

  • Prepare and review the statutory financial statements, working with the external consultant and raising the quality standard of our reporting as the company grows.

  • Support the Finance Manager in the monthly management reporting and CAPEX reporting (data input, checks, adjustments).

  • Set up the data analysis for Actual vs Budget variances (P&L, CAPEX) and for balance sheet deep dives (working capital, VAT).

Tax, compliance and audit

  • Supervise VAT work and other tax-related matters: prepare and file VAT returns and ensure a clean, controlled VAT position.

  • Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations (including support for B2B and EMSP requests), and coordinate the external consultant on local tax obligations (e.g. IRAP) and Intrastat communications.

  • Coordinate the documentation for cash-recovery programs (e.g. VAT credit refund claims), ensuring completeness, accuracy and compliance with the authoritiesโ€™ requirements.

  • Support the financial audits in direct collaboration with the external auditors.

  • Set up and run monthly sanity checks on high-impact costs (rent invoices, cash-in, drop costs) and review them with the Finance Manager.

Tools and process improvement

  • Act as local power user on SAP/Payflows, supporting bug tracking and documentation.

๐Ÿ˜Ž Your Profile

  • Background in accounting with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role (prior experience in an accounting or audit firm is a plus).

  • Solid knowledge of Italian accounting standards and tax rules (VAT, IRAP, Intrastat), with experience in statutory financial statements and audits.

  • Rigorous, with strong analytical skills, good command of accounting rules and practices, and the ability to work in a multi-company environment.

  • Collaborative mindset: you work closely with colleagues, external consultants and other functions.

  • Comfortable with Excel and Google Sheets, and ideally used to working with an ERP (SAP preferred).

  • You enjoy structuring and setting up new processes, learning new tools, and helping your team improve them.

  • You work autonomously and are motivated to join a growing and dynamic scale-up.

  • Fluent Italian and English, French is a plus.
