Senior Accountant (consultant/contractor)

As a Senior Accounting Consultant, you will work on different projects and clients in a wide range of interim and project-based Accounting needs such as the month-end close process, financial reporting, and audit compliance. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Manage the month-end close. Assist in driving the month-end close process and work closely with other accounting teams throughout the close process including journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, balance sheets, and analyses Assist client with technical accounting guidance such as Revenue Recognition & Lease Accounting Projects including sourcing, interpreting, and application of the guidance to current accounting processes and systems, gap analysis, supporting the testing of the appropriate changes Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings (i.e., 10-Qs and 10-K) Ensure compliance with the company’s Sarbanes Oxley Rule 404 internal control environment Performs day-to-day general accounting tasks as assigned Support internal and external audits Professional Attributes Flexibility and openness to work on a variety of assignments, industries, and roles Strong communication & interpersonal skills, displaying the ability to connect and build relationships with clients, peers, and leadership Team player with a strong desire to be an active, long-term participant in the growth of the local office and Firm overall.
