Senior Accountant (Contract) Position Summary As a Senior Accountant, you'll report to the Vice President of Finance and Accounting. In this position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of the financial operations for our growing software firm. The ideal candidate is available 20-40 hours per week on a contract basis. Activities include A/R, A/P, GL, Sales Tax, Payroll, and financial statement generation. You’ll have the potential for growth, incorporating cash management, budgeting and forecasting activities within a fast growing, high-tech, oil and gas software provider. You will enjoy working in a flexible remote environment where mutual respect is a key ingredient. Responsibilities Conduct and manage accounting functions for our growing software firm: Journal entries, accruals, A/R, A/P and account reconciliations. Sales Tax and Payroll preparation. Financial and SOC audit assistance. Financial statement generation. Cash management, budgeting and forecasting activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting Available 20-40 hours per week on a contract basis 3-5 years of accounting experience Experience with accounting software Experience creating and preparing financial statements Advanced Excel expertise required Excellent organizational skills Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship GAAP Proficiency Experience in SaaS, technology, or software company preferred Well-developed oral and written communication skills A drive to continue learning, specifically about the energy business and W Energy software Ability to prioritize and multi-task Effective problem-solving skills Responsible individual with a strong work ethic and analytical mind to play a key administrative role
